Ah, any idea of a release date. Just been looking and it was supposed to be out this Sumner

I've no idea, they're mainly focusing on the CS side. But I've only heard that they just started filming so likely be next year or very end of this year.

Well...

The expected isn’t Metro great documentary. At least the leadership team still managed to come across as utterly useless.

The documentary was very poor and offered little insight into how the managed the Spice Girls.

Bit embarrassing that the OHL actually working to design, got so much time.

Indeed, I guess having a TV crew and a big event on may of heighten anxiety that such a normal thing becomes a concern.

Sadly I was not expecting too much as its only a half an hour show(or 23 mins to be exact), it's hard to fill much content in that timeframe.

They were desperate to add some tension to the situation and I suspect that guy hasn't been out of his office in an orange jacket for some considerable time before the cameras turned up.

"Oh right it's totally normal is it?" well yeah I could have told you that.

If they'd filmed on a normal working day (i.e. great chance of a complete collapse of service) or covered in detail the drivers' dispute it may have been a little more gritty.

Always feel with these type of shows, an hour long episode would be better as you can have about 30 mins covering the main topic(the spice girls) and about 15 mins of filler stuff, when the episode is only 23 mins long, it's hard to do that unfortunately.

Because the time it's on and because its being aired because of metros 40th anniversary then I very much doubt there will be much negative aspect of the system.

The next episode is about how they deal with football crowds and the one after will probably be about the Great North Run so I can only hope the 4th episode will be more about the behind the scenes at the control roon and the depot, I do doubt that will be the case.

Not too impressed. It conveyed a message that the system is struggling to cope with certain pressures, particularly due to the age of the trains, but beyond that not a great deal.

One wonders if the staff would be so smiley should they encounter someone daring to take a photo on a Metro platform?!

This is when I would have imagined Nexus asking Northern to see if they can run an additional fast trains from the Stadium of Light (I believe Northern has used the station in the past with football extras when Middlesbrough were playing Sunderland). Just to help with crowding.

Or maybe alternate services towards Newcastle so some would skip St Peters and call at SoL to reduce the likelihood of a train filling up at St Peters so nobody waiting for it at the SoL could board.

Northern don’t get involved with anything like that anymore and haven’t for a long time. At least 3 years. For the tall ships (biggest flop ever) Northern offered to give up some of their paths for Metro, not support their service.

Normal procedure is to half fill at Seaburn and half at Stadium of Light. You have the Sunderland/Park Lane extra trains which run timetabled and on an adhoc basis. These extras can and do skip stops as dictated by the Service Deliver Controller (or whatever the MDM is called now). This is all dependant on what Metro can get off Network Rail.
