Not necessarily. I received the same email (or at least one of my many email addresses did!) and I wasn't booked to travel on any of the disrupted days.
Not sure exactly what I did to qualify for this offer but Transpennine Express have sent me a £25 off advance tickets voucher. Book by 11th September to travel by 18th October, can be used with railcard. Very nice and may be worth a look out for.

It's only just appeared and promotional period appears to be live judging by the dates listed there but I can't see it listed on the GA website and journey planner isn't offering it, unless I'm missing something.

It seems to be fairly comprehensively blocked by the days it's not available under 'validity'.
Rolling in them now! Virgin trains have sent a code for 20% off their advance tickets. Sadly can't be used as well as a railcard but does apply to 2 people if both are traveling together, and does apply to both an inbound and outbound advance if booked at the same time.

Sorry, the codes seem to be personalised (string of random characters) and are said to be single use. Came in around 1640 on 7th August, subject line "Here's 20% off - let's get the band back together".

The Trans Pennine Express website states that you can accrue 2 nectar points for every £1 spent on train tickets on its website ; do these have to be 'TPE Only' tickets or can they be for tickets for any journey on any other TOC ?

Still, had a look on the Northern site, and outside of peak hours, there does seem to be quite a bit of availability on journeys between Manchester and Leeds

Brilliant thanks! Just booked my mum and her three friends days out in Carlisle and Morecambe for a total of £1.60. They were hoping for another £10 Northern offer so this has saved them £19.60 each

I think you can buy a Standard Class ticket and bid online for a free upgrade to 1st Class. Don’t know how it works though.
