Amy photos?

Yes, I was going to add them in my post above - but forgot!

That can't be right... if it is then honestly what are they thinking? Surely one of, it not the biggest transport company in the UK can do better than, well, that.

Totally horrendous, must be a special livery as only explanation. Stayed in the Wirral last couple of days (can recommend it a Lovely area) and saw a number of gold vehicles as well as beachball ones. There is no doubt that the corporate beachball is by far the better livery being bright and smart. Thought the gold looked rather dull but appears there won’t be any more. Hybrids are disappearing fasti in Oxford, Sheffield and Newcastle and I assume Manchester will follow. Can’t understand that, when you have an easily recognisable and relatively highly regarded brand you want all these local and other brands. Doesn’t make any sense to me as most companies defend and promote their brands as much as possible.

Hopefully they are just testing it on these vehicles to see how it looks, but most of us seemed to think it looked awful just from the artist's impression, if I got the right impression. Beachball isn't the best livery, but it's bright and recognisable and a million miles better than whatever they call these new liveries. Really hoping that they won't go with these liveries, they are even worse than Arriva's which is pretty awful.

Hopefully that's not the new livery, it's truly dreadful, tacky, cheap, nasty, Even Arriva's 'washed out, beige blue' is better than this and that's saying something.
To echo other posters, why would you replace a colour scheme that is classic, unique and stylish (even after 19 years).

Personally, I quite like the dark blue. The red and the green look OK to me, too, but not on the same vehicle. Hopefully that's just a 'half and half' test.

Yes it is just a half and half test.

Beachball is in dire need of an update / replacement, but these proposed schemes just don't cut it for me. You'd think with a company like Stagecoach they'd want to go for something that's unique and stands out, this is neither.

Jeez wasn’t expecting this! It’s nice they are moving away from Ray Stennings work but a refresh of the most recent beachball and perhaps new logo would have sufficed.

Arriva’s latest livery (and I’m no huge fan) looks far better than this... it’s almost like they’re going for the same style with one basic colour and some white swirls. Not very original.

I quite like the livery applied to the coach, but then I rather like darker liveries anyway. The turquoise/green is too close to Arriva's colours and the red looks okay, but it's a bit London. I would have thought they'd be able to come up with a more imaginative way of using their existing colours.

This is it

Indeed, as posted previously. Although the red livery appears to be slightly altered.

The blue is nice but it's so bland. They've pretty much painted a coach dark blue and stuck some ugly logos on it.

And a bit similar to many operators (particularly smaller operators) who use a basic red, including those who buy London cast offs and make minimal effort to disguise this. The curves certainly look better on the blue livery.

I notice on the side of the red there looks like an English rose or something. On the original design it was bee's, are we supposed to assume its part of more regional identities?

It's nice and smart and less tacky than the beach ball!
Not quite as good as Firsts current livery

Would be surprised if it happens. Repainting 6000 buses would cost a fortune!

As with any rebrand it would be done over time... Even if they started rolling it out today there would likely still be beachball liveried vehicles going about in 2024!

I think if Stagecoach altered the shades of the current colours on the existing Stagecoach beachball, and maybe incorporated a new logo/fonts/branding style, it would freshen the look up a bit.

Getting rid of the very saturated, Irn-Bru like interior, would also be a bonus. Perhaps a navy blue leather (orange stitching perhaps?), with the beachball pattern in the middle, in the style of this:

I've always found the green hybrid livery to be quite effective, though they seem to be discontinuing it. Could have been a good livery for all buses, to show they care about the environment etc etc with this latest climate change awareness

The Hybrid livery (technically speaking it's the 'eco' livery) looks awful further down the line, fades far too fast.

I know it would take quite a long time but still cost money. Also people are used to the beachball
livery which is relatively highly regarded (according to surveys). The time taking to rebrand would depreciate the brand which seems costly and stupid. Best leave it as it is and get rid of all the other brands.
