My friends are bus drivers for First in Bath and we were talking about where has the biggest Park and Ride sites in the country?

Long Ashton in Bristol has 1,500 spaces.

Just wondering whether any of the Oxford sites are a close contender?

The two Nottingham ones have 1500 each. Apart from that you are looking at Babraham Road in Cambridge at 1458. The biggest biggest in Oxford being the Redbridge site at 1412.

Some of the York sites might be contenders, though IIRC at least one of them shares the site with retail facilities so you couldn't necessarily say for sure that all the spaces where intended for the P&R.

Officially, the York Outlet is 600.

Even with expansions, the park and rides in Leeds won’t crack 1,350.

How big will the proposed sites at Stourton and Alwoodley Gates be? Surely they'll be at least 1,700 spaces. The smallest P&R is Leeds, King Lane with only 154 spaces but this was built during the infancy of such schemes. King Lane will more or less become the overspill for Alwoodley Gates.
