67001 is taking over 1D34 at 1103 at Chester to replace the 175 that was covering this morning.

The Manchester 67/DVT set is a 175 today as low fuel on 67014 - couldn’t make it to Crewe last night due to the flooding.

Class 67 on the 16:50 to Llandudno today started moving at Earlestown while the passengers were disembarking. Guard didn’t look too happy but the driver seemed to be moving to the stop marker or something. Not sure how it happened.

Not good at all. Wonder how this happened? There’s definitely a 67/DVT stop marker at Earlestown. How would the driver notify the guard on a stop short?

Looks like that was the issue. Can the driver not see something in his cab to tell him that the doors have been unlocked though? Are the Mark 3 carriages meant to be getting retired soon? Definitely should be if they don’t have that kind of safety feature.

Not sure how it works but maybe not in a 67 cab(?) Yeah I think the Mark 3s are being replaced by Mark 4s at the end of this year on the Holyhead to Cardiff, and there won’t be a 67/DVT on the Manchester set and it’ll become a unit. Think I read there’ll be 3 67/Mark 4 sets for Holyhead to Cardiff (2 in use and 1 spare).

I wonder if this has been reported. The doors have an interlock, should not be moving whilst open, could have ended badly. Most people younger than 30 these days struggle working out how to open the doors, let alone dealing with a moving train whilst leaning on a door and trying to open it.

It probably should be reported I suppose. It rolled really slowly, almost as if the handbrake had come off. One woman shouted as she jumped off but I don’t think she was hurt the everyone waited until it stopped again before getting off. It’s a long step down from those coaches onto a curved (relatively) moving platform so I was impressed nobody fell over.

How far did it move? Perhaps a brake issue on that coach.

Maybe 10m or so. It moved for at least 15 seconds. It was possible I suppose although it didn't happen with any other stations. Perhaps they're all flatter though and this may have been a slight slope. Or maybe the curve affected the brakes somehow.

Managed to stay still today. 67014. Think it’s the same one as yesterday though I’m not sure as I didn’t catch the number.

No they dont. There is no interlock on most slam door stock.

Yes they do until the train is stopped and guard releases them they are locked. I travel on them enough.
There's a difference between interlocking (driver can't take power unless all doors are properly closed) and central door locking (passengers can't open doors until the guard unlocks them).

Its neither here nor there , the point being a couple of hundred tons of train was still rolling down the platform while people where trying to open doors and alight the train. A very dangerous situation.

Lucky nobody slipped or fell. Could have been a nasty situation.
