So as I understand it the 156 and 320 refurbishments are now totally complete, 385s are down to the last 5 to be delivered and all the relivery / refurb work is complete on 158 / 170 / 318 and 334s.

So as I understand it the only stock Scotrail currently have in works are the 153s, the HSTs and the last 5 385s.

Beginning to look a bit more like their stable long term fleet will all be available before too long.
A handful of the 156s aren't yet fully refurbished - 445 (one of the earlier Saltire repaints) is currently in Springburn to have the full refurb works. "ScotRail Barbie" is now nought but a memory, though.

445 is reported in the local chipshop paper as having left Springburn last Friday (the site has *reportedly* now closed).

It appears to have ran as 5D56 to Corkerhill.

445 is working the 08.21 Queen St to Mallaig today and causing bother with various faults. The reliability of the 156's has plummeted since they were refurbished with toilet doors being the main problem. Ive never known so many short forms on the West Highland line. The quality of the work is really shocking. Maybe no one cared as Springburn was closing.

Or maybe Springburn's closing because the quality of work hadn't been great for a while? Hard to know which came first.

Also to add to that poor body repairs (leaking roofs), toilets leaking, dodgy electrics and poor internal paint jobs.

Can anyone confirm if all of the class 320/3's have now had there interior refurbishments completed?

I recently travelled on 303 which is done and last Friday I saw 310 in service following it's completion.

I believe they all are. Those and the 156 projects were the last jobs to be carried out at Springburn.

Funny. I was just thinking this morning that I hadn’t seen a Barbie 156 for a while. Now I know why!

Looks like some work is still being done on the 156s just not at Springburn - 156509 (https://flic.kr/p/2gQjHTx) is running from Corkerhill to Landore this morning: http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/K01403/2019/08/05/advanced

A press release was put out on Saturday stating Landore would be reopening for refurbishments/overhauls. See here for info: https://www.railforums.co.uk/threads/landore-depot-to-reopen.187452/

Some of the first 156 units in the most recent refurb programme never got the new seats or side panels with power sockets fitted as their was some delays in the seats being delivered. It's a pity Springburn didn't get the chanve to do the "snagging list" and finish the job so to speak!

15 units didn’t get the full “ironing board” refurbishment, so presumably those are the ones involved. Sets are 156432/462/467/501-503/505-509/511-514.

Possibly 156510 as well. It was the one that got new seats but kept the short tables so the legroom was ridiculous. Not sure if they ever got replaced or not?

All the 156 refurbs have the "short" tables (original height) whether they got the new seats or not. Plenty of us staff highlighted this issue over and over again and it fell on deaf ears.

I was told this week that a number of additional 170s are being kept until May to cover for the missing HSTs

Just out of curiosity, are the First Class seats in the HST's the XP64-style seats that the Mark 2 coaches (ones like the Mark 1's) had? I'm only 26 but I've seen interior pictures of these particular Mk2's.

These First Class seats look like the XP64 seats but just wondered if they were these seats.

If I'm understanding your question correctly, all seats in Scotrail HSTs are exactly the same ones as in the GWR sets. In Standard they've been refurbished and the cabins substantially reconfigured to accommodate a lot more tables. In First the seats are pretty much left as they were.

Someone else will know the detailed history better than me, but they're no older than the last GWR HST internal refit, which is less than ten years. No BR era seats in the mix.

The seats were a new-ish creation from Transcal for GWR, allegedly using the previous frames and bases (from Primarius?) as a starting point.
