The whole system in 16:17 on March 20th, 2019 following the Tube Challenge rules. I also have a route that can get down to 15:39 with the current timetable, but that would require a support team, near perfect system operation, and a fair bit of luck.

Great topic as I am a massive fan of LUL.
A few years ago,I completed an all stations
bail off of the London Underground network. My only rule was that i had to get off a train and board the following service.
I had a fun time doing this and it took 7 visits to the capital to complete this.
Also, had to fill in those Express stops that were missed on the Metropolitan and Piccadilly lines like Ravenscourt Park for instance where Piccs only stop there at peak hours!
Funny i still needed a handful of sets for haulage when i finally completed this.
I havent had the same enthusiasm for the LO lines though.
I have also completed DLR lines for each station as per LUL,and again didn't get every train for haulage for doing so,although I didnt attempt to do it all in one day.

Is the disused signal box still there at Chesham station.?

Yes, but then the station is a listed building I think! No reason to remove it either

The disused cabin at Chesham had a lot of money spent on it a couple of years ago to carry out a full refurbishment, along with the cabins at Chorleywood and Ruislip. Plans are being developed for community uses for all three.

I've managed to do the whole network in one day in November last year - it was my birthday as well, so that made for a rather interesting day! Having said that, there are some bits of track I haven't done:
  • Watford West Curve
  • Liverpool Street to Aldgate East (H&C)
  • West Brompton to High Street Kensington (District)
As for other parts of the TfL network?
  • DLR: All stations and all track
  • Trams: Everything west of East Croydon (not done track from Church Street to Wandle Park), and from East Croydon to New Addington
  • TfL Rail: Liverpool Street to Romford
  • London Overground: Romford to Upminster, Clapham Junction to West Hampstead, Queen's Park to Euston, New Cross to Surrey Quays, West Croydon to Highbury & Islington, Liverpool Street to Chingford (not stopped at Cambridge Heath or London Fields due to them not being on the Chingford route)
  • Cable car

What would you need the support team for? "Bodily reasons" or...?

last time I had a tube day out, I did the Hainult loop. Went round the south side, then changed at Hainault. The bit to Woodford was still using the 1960 stock modified for ATO to test the system for the Victoria line.

I like Earls Court station. Someone called it 'Londons crewe'

I always get a buzz when a tube train suddenly goes outside. I remember being astonished as a kid when we were visiting a relative and we went into the daylight. Uh?? Its the undergound!!.

Quite like Plat H&C platforms 15 and 16 at paddington. And Notting Hill Gate Sub Surface platforms with their nice overall roof.

Are river services not part of the TfL network?
Are river services not part of the TfL network?
The only real part of river services you could say are part of the TfL network is the Woolwich ferry. The rest of TfL’s involvement is running a number of piers, licensing tourist & commuter boats and putting together/implementing a strategy for passenger river traffic.

So if one is 'doing' tfl, should one do the piers?

You dont have to do Piers morgan though :)

Well the piers aren't on the tube map (the subject of this thread) but I've caught boats to or from Woolwich Arsenal, Woolwich (Ferry pier), North Woolwich, Greenwich, Masthouse Terrace, Greenland, Canary Wharf, Tower, London Bridge, Bankside, Blackfriars Millennium (not used the new one yet), Embankment, London Eye, Westminster, Kew (to change boats only), Richmond Landing Stage and Hampton Court. Which means I still have both Kingston piers, Richmond St. Helena, Putney, Wandsworth, Plantation Wharf, Chelsea Harbour, Cadogan, Battersea Power Station, St. Georges Wharf, Milbank, Festival, St Katherine and Doubltree Docklands and the new Blackfriars to do.

boat interchange is noted at some stations that are near or sort of near piers served by river buses, which is not the same as showing piers. Its the same way that showing NR interchanges does not mean the map shows NR stations.

What I can remember covering so far:

Bakerloo- Elephant and castle to baker street
central- notting hill gate to stratford
Circle- baker street to liverpool street
District- ealing broadway to notting hill gate and earls court to whitechapel
H&C- whitechapel to baker street
Jubilee- baker street to stratford
Metropolitan- liverpool street to rayners lane
northern- all of it except from the high barnet/mill hill east branch and edgware branch north of collindale
piccadilly- rayners lane to kings cross
Victoria- stockwell to kings cross
Waterloo and city- whole line

Other:
DLR- stratford to cutty sark and bank to poplar
Overground- clapham junction to whitechapel
Haven't been on the cable car or tfl rail yet.

I know I've not covered much yet, I intend on doing all of it eventually.

I've done all the lines, cant remember when I finished it all to be honest but was some years ago.

Other bits:

- Heathrow Airport internal shuttle train (I think it was Heathrow? I remember getting off a plane at a terminal, going down stairs to some automatic train system that took you to the passport control?)

- Victoria Line Seven Sisters Platform 4 to Road 25 (IIRC) into the Shed at Northumberland Park to the end, and back

- Victoria Line road no 22 at Victoria siding

- Northern Line Kennington Loop

- Metropolitan line Watford curve

- East London Line including both New Cross and New Cross Gate, and also done as LO

- Chalfont & Latimer bay platform when the Chesham shuttle ran. Thinking if bays, I still need Monument bay on the Circle/District, though done Tower Hill bay.

- Alighted at a station when it was closed for refurbishment!

That's T5, B and C concourses to A for arriving pax. There's also a shuttle going out from T5A to B and C for departures.

There's never been a Monument bay. You probably mean the Mansion House bay, but that's no longer in service and the tracks have been removed.

Monument has never had a bay road. If you mean Mansion House, it was removed in 2016.

Ahh that's the shuttle thank you

Yes Mansion House sorry, was thinking of the top of my head, now you mention it being removed, I just remembered hearing about that, was it something to do with the S7 stock not able to fit in the platform?

When I was in London in late May (I now live in the US) I knocked off all of the Central, Northern and Piccadilly lines that I hadn’t covered, plus the Met to Uxbridge.

So now it’s “whole line” for everything (Underground) except the Met (Harrow on the Hill to Watford, Chesham and Amersham). Engineering works permitting I’ll try to complete that when I’m back for Christmas.

All done! I knocked off the Watford, Chesham and Amersham branches of the Met yesterday. With only 2tph to both Amersham and Chesham it took a while.

And I suddenly thought I hadn’t done Kew Gardens to Richmond, so just to be safe I covered that this afternoon.

So that’s the whole Underground and DLR done. I guess I’ll have to finish Overground, Trams and TFLR next time. Do having done Heathrow Connect and GWR (or even Thames Trains) PAD-Reading stoppers count? Or do I have to do waste money doing them again?

When I did them I rode up to Chesham, walked to Amersham (it's only about 2 miles) then walked back.

I did lots of it with my first job in London visiting various clients, aimed to do the remainder so went on various weekend visits to obscure parts, although started 30 years ago never finished

Currently still to do Watford north curve, Bakerloo north of Stonebridge Park, Elm Park-Upminster, Mill Hill East branch, Stockwell-Brixton (never had a desire to visit Brixton), Wimbledon South-Morden

Done whole DLR including the (now all closed) north side the delta Junction and Island Gardens (high level) and Stratford platform 5

I would say they're done.

That's still open for Tower Hill-Beckton and Bank-Woolwich Arsenal.

No, it isn't. A new diversion was created and the original side of the actual triangular junction was closed (I don't have the dates to hand, I'm afraid).

Probably about half. Just last week I covered most of the Hainault area and did the southern portion of the northern line as far as Clapham south, I also did Moorgate with intention of seeing those diamond roundels for historical purposes
