Still haven’t heard if passed stage 1!
Hopefully the same thing hasn't happened to you, which happened to me and MayMay another forum member who seems to have disappeared.
Looking at my MTR login, the status had changed to "missed second assessment deadline" or similar. On contacting the OPC, I was informed that my results had been sent to me back in July and that I should check my spam/junk emails, it wasn't there. It turned out they mistyped my gmail address as gmaiil, which was hard to spot, Maymays was sent to a .com address instead of his .co.uk address. I'm not the paranoid type but I do wonder if they needed to cull numbers.
Unfortunately, the OPC wouldn't help even though this was there error, and MTR couldn't help as the recruitment isn't in their hands.
You could say I was disappointed, but to be honest I'm not sure I could take the pay cut at this moment. The change to this career seems very appealing though and the trains that were parked up at OAC look fantastic.

Mate, if you had to wait seven months to do stage one that really isn't that long in the railway world. There were people on my training course that were in the recruitment process for two years etc. Try again in six months time but be prepared for the long game.

It will be a totally different recruitment drive, you can obviously get past the paper sift as you've got to stage one.
Like I say try again in six months. Try other TOCS/FOCS too. The more you apply for the more chance you've got on getting through.
Good luck..

Hi,

Congratulations on passing Stage 2, I received the questionnaire approx 4 weeks after passing Stage 2.

Good luck with DMI

Thank you,

I received the questionnaire two days ago submitted it last night so I’m all it was about just under a week after passing stage two. 19/09 (stage 2) 25/09 (email received for otdpq)

I wonder how long the wait will be for dmi after, do you give you any questions to prepare for?

I completed my OTDPQ in end of July and still haven’t received an invite for DMI. So a long wait...

Can anyone currently working at MTR currently as a train driver give me an idea what the roster for a working week would roughly look like please?

I had a DMI last week, how long to they usually take to let you know if you have made it through? Anyone else recently gone for the interview?

Mine was about 18 days after. The wait was brutal! Hope you get some good news what depot did you apply for?

Did they mention how many days you will have to wait for a reply.

Just found out I too have passed my DMI :D Apparently there’s a course starting next month that is full, hopefully there’ll be another one at the start of the year. Thanks to everyone that has contributed to this very helpful forum.

Maidenhead, but I don't think they are in a rush to get drivers trained up yet... There was mention of a talent pool if successful.

Well done, that's great news. When was your DMI?

For Old Oak Common:

- Each 10 week cycle starts with 17 days off (of which 4 days are rostered annual leave)
- Average 35 hour, 4 day weeks, but you can work more or less in a given week (never more than 5 days, never more than 45 hours as things stand)
- 5 or 6 Saturdays and 6 or 7 Sundays off per 10 week cycle
- Earliest book on is 03:37 (2 x diagrams book on at this time), latest book off is 01:31
- 2 night diagrams are rostered each night (21:31-06:29 and 22:01-06:59 on weekdays), however these come around very infrequently as the roster is currently at 150 lines. Weekday nights are worked as a Mon-Fri block, weekend nights are usually stuck onto the end of a round of lates
- You only get 9 days of "unrostered" annual leave per year, but rest day swaps between drivers are common, so you're not a complete slave to where your rest days fall and whether your AL gets approved or not

Some of this will be subject to change as the project moves forward, but the basic structure remains the same.

Hello all, I passed stage 2 including the MMI this week, I was told I would receive an email from mtr asking to complete a personality questionnaire in preparation for the DMI. Out of interest how long was the wait for the email in everyone’s experience?
Any updates yet for a DMI?

Wow. That long!! Have you had no correspondence with them regarding a potential start date?

Had the odd email or chat with them, no start date on the horizon. My issue is that I've applied for Gidea park, they are full and no idea when they will be taking on more drivers!
