Afternoon all,

Has anyone had the email today stating that their application isn’t being progressed due to the vacancy being closed or filled?

My status was that I passed the two initial online assessments back in June/July when the ad went live - I was waiting for the first assessment day. Applied for BTM.

Bloody gutted!

Pete

If you haven’t already had the email then perhaps you’re alright?

Seems strange tho if it's closed to some then it should be closed to everyone that hasn't done the first day assessments.

Don't give up mate!! Just keep applying

Hi everyone. Id completely forgotten that I had applied for this as it was a while back. Ive received an email inviting me to an assessment day. Does that mean regardless of passing that stage (and subsequent stages) there isnt a job? Its to be held in the talent pool until there may be an opening? Sorry a new to this!

Yes if you pass everything from start to finish your then put into the pool and basically on hold until any positions come up.

Which depo did you apply for?

Sat stage 2 today and my brain is now well and truly fried! I’m always over critical of myself, and am now doubting myself over the answers I gave in my MMI. Oh well, the constant email checking can now begin :p

Not at all. Normally you get something back from the interviewer. Not these guys, they’re very good!

I must have been very lucky at my MMI as the interviewer was very relaxed and told me at least twice that I had passed (without me asking), and gave me tips on how to approach the DMI!

What toc was it with? The lady interviewing me was quite stern so I didn't get a smile or a nod or anything back haha .

GWR down at Swindon. She was really nice and made the whole interview much less stressful than I thought it would be

Only explanation is that it was possibly in house haha and the lady was probably from HR? I know some tocs are trained to conduct the mmi like swr but i didn't know gwr do it too.

It's entirely possible particularly as they are both part of First Group, but I seem to remember the HR lady at GWR saying that she (the interviewer) was employed by a lot of TOCs. Either way I was very happy to pass obviously!
