Bit concerned as I applied start of April. So the six month gdpr runs out start of October. So I’d have to reapply without my application being assessed in six months

When I spoke to someone on live chat, he said to me that I had passed the sjt. However he also said if I don’t hear anything back in six months I have to reapply.

The process can take upward of 3 months possibly longer due to the nature of the driver recruitment process as well as us receiving a high number of applications for our driver roles. We will be in contact as soon as we can.

How did you manage to speak with someone? Live chat is always offline when i try and I've emailed them already with no reply after two weeks.

Yes when we all got that email saying we had all been unsuccessful but then they said it was an error in the system it stated that our assessments would stay on for a year. Done my SJT 7th May and still nothing.

Hello All

I was wondering if anyone has heard back from the HR department for the trainee train driver role that came out a while back?

Not yet. I was told it would take up to 3 months for the shortlist to be decided.

Hi,

I received an email from recruitment asking if I had completed any stages ? And if so which ones, if not do not reply to email.
I replied back with the ones I have completed with another TOC, but since then heard nothing ? This was back in May.......anyone else receive a similar email ???

Applied for Liverpool Street.

I am in the same situation, its the first time I have applied for a trainee train driver position, scored 12 on the application and am certain I passed the SJT test.
I had no luck trying to online chat recruitment yesterday.
It looks like recruitment is selecting guys who have already completed the assessments or live close to their selected stations.
I applied for Liverpool Street and Ilford but I suspect that the majority of us have gone for the same locations hence the long wait.
Hi mate, I was also asked the same question by email, so in the same position as you, heard nothing since......but how do you know that your application is still under consideration ? Is there some sort of log in page if so can you forward link please ?

Here’s the link I use https://apply.greateranglia.co.uk/vacancies/profile

Just need to use your email and password. Well that’s what I do anyway.

I applied for a few depots with greater anglia and I also applied for other TOCs at the same time (around april I think) as I dont mind relocating. I have since then sat stage one AND stage 2 and am waiting for a dmi date. Also, another TOC has invited me for their assessment day but I'll just go straight into the dmi.

So 2 dmi's lined up with 2 TOCs in the same time I applied for GA. What I'm trying to say is maybe consider applying for other TOCs as GA are clearly insaaaanely slow at recruiting!

I take it we’re not hearing anything back then? I applied 7th May but still saying under consideration. But I assume as it’s been six months that’s it got to start again.

Good luck with that.

I applied May 2018 and passed stage 1 November 2018. Supposed to have had stage 2 December 2018 or January 2019. Yet despite several emails back and forth with HR and them stating I still have an application, nothing has happened since.

Really slow? I have seen glaciers move faster than Greater Anglia recruitment. I would not mind but they just dont keep people updated as a matter of courtesy.

Hi, I passed my stage 2 recently and have the DMI interview coming up. Could anybody give me any advice on this interview please? Says it’s a structured interview with a manager. Any help on what it would involve would be a big help, thanks.

I also applied in May this year and I am still waiting. I too received the email asking whether I’d completed any of the Psychometric tests. I responded as I’ve completed stage 1. Unfortunately I didn’t make it to stage 2 due to a technical issue on the day, and instead I did my MMI. Sadly I failed this in one topic area :(.

Hope to hear from them soon. If it gives anyone any hope, when I applied last year, it was around May time again and I didn’t receive my invite to the stage 1 assessments until mid November. Might be a similar time this year perhaps? Not sure how that’ll work with the GDPR 6 month rule though?

Hi mate. I applied at the start of April. I was told on the live chat feature that if I did not hear back within 6 months or the date of my application. I would have to apply again due to gdpr

Had a email this morning offering me a Stage 1 date next Thursday at Stratford. (Mainline, Norwich)

Applied relatively soon after it went up & had practically forgotten about it....

Rather unexpected to say the least.
Might have spent some cash on practice materials earlier / with more notice :/

Interested to see if we've got anyone else in the same boat.
