Yeah possibly. First I've ever seen a decker on a 43 since it hasn't ran into Glasgow city centre
The 43 does not interwork and to have a decker is rare, although the 32 can frequently see deckers which is overkill

Yeah, I didn't think it did tbh. Yeah, I've seen deckers on that and the 90 a lot lately. I guess the advantage with the 32 is that it only requires one bus and it goes off so early too. Seen it busy a few times so I'm surprised there's not even 1 or 2 after the last one currently

The 43 maybe broke down and they’ve pulled the 41 to cover it. Otherwise the 41 bus was all that was available at the depot when the schedule went out.

Anyone ever had to deal with water leaking through the ceiling of the bus they've been on? Pretty sure the 51 plate 1E I'm not long off of is the 3rd/4th time within 18 months
Many a time on the pink fronted 9's, sent feedback after seeing the advert saying how was your journey. Never hear anything.

Yeah those buses are horrendous for it. Other than today it was the non branded variants of those buses on a 6 or 6A that had the water leakage issues and nothing ever gets done

The 6 on the south side lately from experience has been far busier than the north side of the city centre. The 1s are far quicker to go to Clydebank, Whitecrook and Yoker then the subway is well more favourable to Hillhead etc. They usually run close to empty between Anniesland and Clydebank off peak from what I've seen more and more lately

Could split it. 6 Drumchapel to EK and do Clydebank to Town with a different number. 6A absorbs into 6

Would genuinely make it every 12 mins from Clydebank to Battlefield and 12 mins from Renfrew St to Calderwood and that way people can still get a link to the west end from the south side and vice versa. 2 services and less frequency would maybe help the reliability a bit

I really don't understand why the buses are so leaky. Stark contrast to Stagecoach who don't have the same issue. It really makes the buses seem like the Pacer of the bus industry.

That's a blatant lie (if intended or not). Stagecoach's Enviro400s leak like sieves and most E300s will be soaking wet inside whenever it rains too.

On Wrightbuses the water tends to get in where the fibreglass moulds meet the roof, Streetlites are notoriously bad for this. So much so that a company up on Shetland put duct tape over the area to try and stop water leaking in.

Dont think theirs going to be a big order next year for new buses hearing that more 53 54 plate b7 deckers are due to leave the fleet with b9 deckers from somewhere down south as their replacements no 100 per cent confirmed

It's always been said that the 2020 order won't be as big as the last one (150). Keep in mind they don't need to get rid of all the Euro 3 stock right now, they just need to get rid of enough that they can cover the city centre services and have what's left of the Euro 3 stock on out of city stuff.

My experience on Stagecoach is mainly on the MMC’s. But our E400s on the West Scotland routes are in a bit of a state. (It wasn’t intended)

Seen more 2 branded E300s. Just out of interest are there enough E300s to cover the full of the 2 and 3? I always thought after Parkhead lost some of its E300s to FSE that they got E200MMCs to fill the gap but they’re not going to be used on the route so are they drafting more in or is there enough between Scotstoun and Caley to operate both fully?

Always wondered this tbh. I know the 2s PVR is around 30 but I can imagine the 3s being a lot too considering the route length so probably looking at around 55/56 buses to cover both services

Even seen one on the SPT journeys for the 90 last night. Pretty sure the 90 is all scotstoun related tbh but it's still good to see something that's fairly decent on a 90 for once although it was completely empty.

Seen all sorts on the 5 and 7 lately tbh but it's a good change

The 5 is a popular route. It used to get the E500s a lot when they were here and the newest deckers. It’s a short route but busy from start to finish. I would have thought it would have been a contender for new buses and branding similar to the 75 as they both go to Castlemilk.

Yeah I agree with that. Been a solid route for years and I think it'll get something reasonably new eventually. Been the 65 plate E200 MMCs a few times on it recently when I've seen it

The 2 has a PVR of 30 or 32, based on either a 10 or 18 min layover at both ends, the 3 has a PVR of 27 or 28 so around 60 buses would need branded if they are to cover both routes. Would First have both singles and deckers branded for the same route or would it just be the one type of bus branded I wonder?

Yeah I don't see them doing it with different types of buses although having used both services a lot them being all E300 wouldn't necessarily be the greatest thing. They are both really unreliable so deckers can even end up pretty full due to 2/3 buses coming together sometimes

There are B9TLs Branded for 'theone' working alongside E300s, so it's not unprecedented.

It would be interesting to see them brand up some low height E400s for the 2 and 3 to be used alongside the E300s especially since many have been straying off the 6 for years.

Those B9TLs are very tired now internally. Most B9TLs have all been refurbed except for these. ‘The One’ is a really busy services I think they could be doing with better deckers. I honestly think the E400XLB would be ideal for the 1 peak time services and they could be based at Caley so that weekends could see them being used on other routes like the 2, 5 and 75 etc.

Yeah that would be a good move especially if they get their rumoured refurb soon. Used to get them on the 3 a lot from what I seen too. Pretty sure there was a week I seen an E400 on a 3 every day plus I reckon the 6 could easily get away with more singles than deckers from how quiet I've seen them lately
