Well if it is a Nova 2 set it is goign to run out of electricity wants it reaches Manchester Victoria, so it won't maintain the rest of that schedule. :p

Does anyone know what diagrams 350s will continue to operate after the timetable? Will there be some in service on Wednesday 18th?

There are explicitly workings on and off of Ardwick in the first week of the new timetable as noted in the analysis I prepared upthread.

https://www.railforums.co.uk/threads/class-397-tpe-nova-2-diagrams.195322/page-4#post-4318476

In the first week, Diagram H starts at Ardwick (5S30 0440 Ardwick T.M.D to Manchester Piccadilly) and Diagram E (5W67 0145 Manchester Piccadilly to Ardwick T.M.D) ends there.

Probably i good idea to post what services with times , as not everyone knows the headcodes.

Lets try and second guess what might happen with the 397s. I reckon that the Anglo-Scottish diagrams from 16 December are the following:

Note that overnight stabling of the TPE trains in Scotland moves from Corkerhill to Polmadie from the December timetable change.

In the first week, Diagram H starts at Ardwick (5S30 0440 Ardwick T.M.D to Manchester Piccadilly) and Diagram E (5W67 0145 Manchester Piccadilly to Ardwick T.M.D) ends there. Also, 1S85 terminates at Carlisle and 1M90 starts at Carlisle. This is all unwound for the first week in January when the schedules indicate all units are at Longsight (3 units), Polmadie (2 units), Preston Carriage Sidings (2 units) and Glasgow Central (1 unit) with nothing scheduled off Ardwick.

On the Liverpool workings, there has been some indication in the Railway press that 185s will work initially with 397s favoured on the Manchester services. This appears to be consistent with two empty workings to and from Manchester.

Diagram 9 appears to end with 5J81 2111 Preston to Manchester Victoria and there is also a 5C89 2334 Ardwick T.M.D to Preston suggesting 185s.

These run until 14 February at which point there is a change to the diagrams with the introduction of interworking between the Manchester and Liverpool routes.

That would appear to mean that there can be, at most, 6 397 diagrams from the timetable change in December, but 3 (A,B,C) appears possible if Polmadie isn't ready. Given there are only 2 at present, this seems pretty tight.

It looks like there might then be a step up in the new year and another in mid-February, the same day it appears that the number of 68+Mk5 diagrams appears to increase so maybe 10 397 diagrams from 16 February.

Of course, substitutions by 185s and 350s are easy in the short term by simply sending units from Ardwick instead of Longsight and once they are in the cycle, won't be substituted by 397s - guess it depends on how quickly 185s go off lease.
Are you able to guess which out of the 10 diagrams the 397s will be running? I didn't think there were 6 397s ready for passenger service.

001 and 004 are at Longsight. 005 and 007 are at Preston. 002 and 008 are at Polmadie.

003 and 005 are seeing the most use for passenger service.

Just adding a couple, 006 at Longsight and 011 was at Crewe(with 012- not sure 012 is accepted yet though).

Whats the rate of 397s replacing 350/4s?? as 4 have now left TPE

Not very quick - looks like there are only two 397 diagrams and they are struggling to cover those. 185s covering the release of 350s for the time being - 185149 working 1S32 0607 Manchester Airport to Edinburgh (booked from Ardwick this week so not expected 397) - the next one (1S35 0710 Manchester Airport to Glasgow Central) looks like it has come from Ardwick instead of Longsight. The Lancaster starter which works the next one is cancelled (as is 1S38 0807 Manchester Airport to Edinburgh) now starting at Piccadilly so perhaps only one 397 out today.

Are 397005 or 397007 likely to be running tomorrow. From previous postings they are at Preston and needed for my Christmas travel diagrams from Edinburgh.

397005 has now gone back to Longsight and 397007 is being used for static training.

This is extremely tight and LNWR must be getting very agitated

Huh? If the 397s aren't ready, the 350s still leave and 185s are put on the Manchester to Scotland trains (which is what is already happening). LNR have nothing to worry about.
