There’s i

there’s only one official pass mark and that’s a standard pass. Anything else is one made up by the particular TOC so could be set to any level they desire (as long as it’s above the national standard) hence why you can take the tests as many times as you want as long as you pass the standard bench mark
Ah! Never knew that! Every day's a school day eh?!

Don’t suppose anyone who attended the assessment days at Leeds has heard anything back have they?

My sister has just had a invite to a assessment day today. I’ve still not heard anything as yet.
She said it mentioned they was looking for more females at the application stage. I told her about the vacancies and she’s beat me to a assessment :)

Going to Leeds on 10th January.
Assuming I must make my own way there?

Oops
Just actually read that I can travel for free on the train.

next question would be regarding it saying that I may only travel on that specific date.
Ideally I would stay over the night before however, any way around that?

Can I just ask when did you apply for the trainee conductor role with TPE?

It was 10th november. I really want to do this but also dont want to start doing it and maybe get a driver one (small chance) I dunno if doing the conductor one will affect any thing to do with the driver I didnt expect it so abit unprepared ha ha

I think some tocs are different some have 2 years some 3. All depends on the toc. I did the tests with EMT about a year ago and was told they were valid for 2 years.
I read somewhere on this thread it was 3 year for tpe but I can’t vouch for that just what I’ve seen on here.
Hi I passed the assessments with emt/emr earlier this year aswell, did you mention you got confirmation that you didn't need to re take the assessments?

I've still not heard anything. 10th of January would have been ideal. Hopefully I hear something tomorrow.

Yes mine is the same.
Mine is the same, I read further up in the post that they have courses for jan/feb June/July and another one, 3 in total next year, so maybe we will get invited in next week or later and could be for them future courses?

On the 1st assessment day everyone seemed to get the invite email on the same day so it looks like I’ll have to hope for the feb date.

yep, I got a phone call saying I didn’t need to attend stage 1 testing and to await further instructions.

Hasn’t been the case in Railway for long time especially with my last TOC
I was being ironic, as it's a fairly poorly kept secret that the railway no longer recruits on talent or ability. I'm sure the rise in SPADs etc is just pure coinicidene lol

Trying to figure out how they are doing this. Im assuming they just go through a bunch of applications and once they have enough for that assesment day then you have to wait for the next? Almost starting to feel like pot luck whether you get an invite or not. or could it possibly be done alphabetically? daft sugesstions i know! XD

Someone further back who I think works for TPE said it’s the ones with the highest scores from the applications who get invited first and then they go down that list. Remember we did 2 initial online tests when applying. I still haven’t received a rejection email so that’s my bit of hope.
