My spouse used my season ticket yesterday afternoon.
It was a monthly 'keycard' ticket and the guard challenged her on the train.
When she presented the card she was told it wasn't allowed and that it was confiscated as her ID didn't match the registered owner. She was told the season card could be reclaimed at the next station (Tonbridge).
She was then sold a full fare ticket.
She was not asked for any further information and the guard moved on up the carriage.
Given other threads on this forum I would have imagined a statement needed to be taken in order for the rail company to take the matter further. Is this the case?
Am I likely to get the ticket back and if so will I be required to make a statement when I do so.
