Must have changed the documents they ask for on this round of assessments because it was in the email they sent when I confirmed my assessment date.

It sounds harsh but I guess they have a process for a reason.
I sat mine with a different company last year and it was their email that didn't state NI proof was required. Just lucky I had proof on an email attachment! The email I had from TPE did state it, however I didn't have to resit them as I'd already passed.

NI number makes sense as it means you can't blag doing them more than the allowed number of attempts!

Does anyone know how much of the initial training is spent away from home? And how it works ie Monday to thursday or something?

Yep, the chap did.

Personally, I hope it is not held at Manchester. Thats a long ol journey for myself.

Ideally not but I will be happy enough so long as I do not have a repeat of my experience in Watford in 2013. The night before the assessment, I stayed in a hotel with the squeakiest floor boards and some weirdo kept pacing up and down in his room at 2am. Before I left the hotel, I took a shower and I could not turn the shower off afterwards. That experience was just taking the Miller.

Think I will be happy enough though if I got free travel again not only on the day of the assessment itself, but also the evening before if I need to stay over in Manchester. Better still if the assessment is in York, if I am invited, that is.

I sat the first stage in Leeds last Friday and just got an email to say I was unsuccessful.

I am going to wait 3/4 weeks to get specific feedback from the OPC - recommended to do this by the assessor on the day.

Good luck to those still in the mix with the rest of the process. I will be keeping an eye on this forum for future vacancies and hope TPE are recruiting later this year.

I wonder if there will be any more assessment dates now. Did the people who done their assessments in december get offered stage 2??

I hope I am wrong but I'd guess that if they are now moving people onto stage 2 who done stage 1 in november means that they are finished with stage 1 assessments

Well the job advert says that Stage 1 assessments will take place in Dec19, Jan and Feb 20 so hopefully there is still a chance.

Received an email to say I've got through to second assessment. Not has time to log in yet. I wasn't expecting anything so quick.

Edit: Now booked on for 29th January in Leeds. As it's an 08:45 start I think I will be staying over the night before. May even splash out on the place the test is being held at and save the commute.

Maybe Feb and Mar dates will come to life when they see how many are good enough after the 2nd stage assessments, and maybe some depots have more successful than others for quality so far

Just to update everyone there is one more batch of stage 1 assessments next month.

Dates to be confirmed

Anyone with a status of "submitted" is still in the running for a space.

Emails will be sent out shortly in the next few days

By the sounds of it these people will be the bottom of the barrel (lowest scoring applicants). Good luck to them none the less!

I reckon the initial online test scores won't matter if you make it to stage one. It really is about how you do during the OPC tests.
