Looks good, suppose there’s no point in applying if you live more than an hour away even if you are willing to relocate?
May not even be up that long if recent campaigns are anything to go by so if people are thinking of applying, I’d do it sooner rather than later.Has this just gone up today. Says closing date tomorrow?
Good Evening All - I’m a long time lurker and this is my first post. I managed to get an application in for this one, it’s my first ever application for a trainee driver post as due to family issues have not been in a position to apply before. Fully expecting this to turn out to be a practice run in effect as evidently there is only a few hours to apply!
However, after submitting I needed to do an SWR online assessment. Got an email straight away saying I passed, but only those who passed with the highest scores will be progressed. Does this mean I’m out now? Or could I still be notified I’m through to next stage? Wasn’t really clear from the automated email.
Many thanks
Do you know if it's ok to apply for more than one position?I work for SWR. If rumours are true then lots of driver positions to be advertised very soon.
My advice would be not to wait but to apply for other positions in the mean time and then apply as an internal candidate after 6 months of probation is over.

Thanks, shame they didn't advertise Bournemouth first lolYou can apply for multiple different positions but only one location for a certain position.
Eg if you apply for a driver position at Bournemouth then you cannot apply for a driver position at Waterloo with the same company. Only one location at a time.

That was quick. When did you get the email. I had the one passing the online test but nothing else. I emailed recruitment to inform that I already have assessment day pass with another TOC from July 2019Evening all,
I was lucky enough to submit an application in time for this position. To my surprise, I’ve been invited to attend an assessment day on the 25th of January. I’m a little unsure whether to accept this date or not as I don’t know if there’ll be enough time to prepare sufficiently for all the assessments? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Ah well maybe I have been sifted. They did say they would be doing location checks for the 45 min travel time. I may/am probably just outside of that. Good luck. ...go for itHi Quin79,
I received the email this evening. I also applied for the guard position at Waterloo and have an assessment day for that position on the 28th of this month. I’m just concerned that 8 days will not be enough time to prepare for the assessment day?
We shall see. Honestly I wouldn't stress the assessment day too much. Use on here as a good tool/guide. Practice the group bourdon dots test and the rest you'll be fineI received the email quite late in the evening, so you may hear something tomorrow.
Wow and assessments on a Saturday too? Would Be great if more where at the weekendEvening all,

Well done! I’m my opinion you’d be silly not to accept the assessment date. That’s plenty of time to prepare. Not wanting to sound like a broken record here, but these assessments aren’t meant to be revised for as such. That’s not to say you shouldn’t prepare, but you merely need to have an appreciation for them and what to expect. Hope that makes sense. Good luck!Evening all,

Still nothing. I'm surprised just how quickly you've been offered assessment. I'm keeping things crossedI received the email quite late in the evening, so you may hear something tomorrow.
As mentioned above, don’t stress too much about preparation for the assessments, with aptitude, you either have it or you don’t simple as that. The best preparation you can do is have a good night sleep the night before and be fed and watered when you turn up.Hi Quin79,
