By the sounds of it these people will be the bottom of the barrel (lowest scoring applicants). Good luck to them none the less!
I'm not so sure about bottom of barrell. Assuming 2,3,4000 initially applied, and half did well enough on online 2 assesments to get through, then there could still be upto 2000 people waiting. Unless many have been rejected in the meantime.

I've finally received the feedback from my stage 1 assessment in Leeds(18th December assessment) they had already informed me that I hadn't gotten through to the next stage a couple of wks back, but I had asked if they could give me some feedback on my results, I am over the moon with how I did, but also totally gutted as I just missed out on the next stage by only one standard pass, the Group Bourdon test I passed at standard level but all the rest I passed at enhanced level.
It's so easy to think you've done well at one, two or all of the tests the assessment consists of but its also doubly easy to think you've done a totally pants job of them too and think you've failed, the waiting game is very stressful with all sorts going through your head, I'd honestly thought I'd done well on the Group Bourdon test(I'd practiced it for 8 weeks non stop) and I also thought I'd totally failed at another one and maybe okish on the rest and as it turned out I only got a standard pass on the Group Bourdon(I still dream of those blinking dots!!!) and I passed all the rest enhanced, it also doesn't matter if the person next to you at the assessment answered more or less test questions then yourself, every single person that was invited to that assessment has every chance of getting through or not getting through, a lot of factors come into play while your there, nerves, mind block, not being able to concentrate are just a few that we've all suffered from, the fact that I actually got an invite to the stage 1 assessment is in itself a BIG achievement in my book, as a lot of people keep pointing out, it's a very cut throat career path to take and it doesn't matter your background, whether your male or female, what job you do, the clothes you wear or the fact that you prefer to use a carrier bag....in that assessment room...we are all equal.
I can't fault TPE at all with their communication with me, they've been really helpful and made sure I received the feedback on my results, and I will most definitely be accepting their invite to re-sit the Group Bourdon test again in 6 months.

Good luck to everyone who did their assessment last week and to anyone who has an assessment coming up.

The main thing from this is that you didnt fail, and with a bit more practice you'll get there, only if you want to of course!

All the best for the future.

Just out of curiosity anybody who is still waiting to hear following submission of application, did you apply early or near the closing date?

I’m still waiting to hear anything. My hope is that, as I have already passed the psychometric just under a year ago, I’ll be hear something once the stage 1 and 2 has been completed

Probably worth enquiring about that, I got invited to stage one and emailed them to say I had already passed the stages to enhanced, they then confirmed this in an email and updated the career portal

I sat the first stage in Leeds last Friday and just got an email to say I was unsuccessful.

I am going to wait 3/4 weeks to get specific feedback from the OPC - recommended to do this by the assessor on the day.

Good luck to those still in the mix with the rest of the process. I will be keeping an eye on this forum for future vacancies and hope TPE are recruiting later this year.

Sorry to hear that beeman05 gave me a shout if you fancy a coffee, would be good to hear about your experience.

Did stage 1 two weeks ago

did stage 2 today
Grey box test was good, 32 mins of staring at a screen tho cant be the best for you, I know I clicked once when I shouldn’t have, I was adjusting my seat.

seeing photos for one second and selecting what was in the photos was alright

the joystick test was good, 2 guys said it was very sensitive and wouldn’t go where they wanted(they passed anyway)

MMI was at the end IF you passed those 3 tests, which we all 3 of us did

Now to wait a week for MMI results

A week for the MMI results, this is going to be the most nerve wrecking week for you.

I was going to select this week for my stage 2, but ended up going for next month, just to give me a little bit more time to practice.

But im now wishing I had chosen a sooner date.

How was the MMI, intense?

Regarding if I found stage 1 or 2 harder.

i ‘think’ I breezed through the bordon and the dial test, did about 80% on each page of bordon and then 40/43 on dials
Did not like the glop, listening to and reading paragraphs and then answering questions about it

Joystick test and grey box test were great, didn’t like the photo test

I really enjoyed dial test + group bordon and found those easy, same with joysticks and grey box.

the MMI is quite intense, didn’t enjoy it that much, a couple times felt I’d answered the question but then was asked again haha

Bourdon and dials test was fun and easy for me. I fear most for the photograph test and MMI.

I've even been dreaming about interviews recently... which is annoying.

So when you were asked the question again, was it a case of give a different example or just probing.

I'm trying to think of two responses to the questions that could be asked, its easy to think of one example but two is difficult.
