Could make a fairly big deal out of the new service tbh. Reliability won't be easy to maintain with the route length but it's definitely better and a positive step as far as links offered. I expect some kind of branding to come with this too

I can't see reliability being a major issue, not on a route of it's style. As mentioned the big bonus is that there's through buses. So passenger links are much better while the frequencies are more consistent. It's suspected some E300s may be going on the X10/X10A.

I don't expect it to be terrible but that X10A will be over 2 hours and that's more what I was getting at especially with the Glasgow part of the route and getting out of Stirling. Definitely good buses to go onto the route. Definitely more comfortable too if passengers did want to go further

This is a wee peek at the new timetable front cover

It's already been on the website for over a week...

Must admit, i am surprise they only get 2 minutes at Balfron.

Was the Balfron leaflet white? if so that is the council one. If you want timetables you will have to go to the depot at Head office entrance.. or on the buses around the service changes.

No it was First's own produced Balfron guide, there was a selection of First timetables for all of the Stirling services, a range of Stagecoach booklets, Citylink booklets and the councils own produced leaflets/booklets, a good range and selection of everything tbh.

First don't operate a 55? Unless you're on about that University service that got cancelled due to low usage.

WOW First has upped its game, hopeful the 51/52 included the 55.

Yes it even included the 55, there was a downloadable version on the First website when the last Stirling change happened but I can't find it now, there is a Sept 18 version in the route maps section. Part of me was hoping Stirling would have some Falkirk timetables, even though it's well out the area, but nope.

https://www.firstgroup.com/uploads/maps/51, 52 Sept18.pdf

This is the Sept 18 one, there is a newer one which includes the peak uni 55 service.

The public are not happy about the cut to 29, and many are questioning why its getting the cut. I can't see Falkirk council keeping the Evening and sunday service going however I get the feeling there may speak with WLC and see if joint daytime service can be introduced.

Stirling Deffo has them and the buses should have them.. First Midland ( yes that is the new name on the timetables) don't send anything to Glasgow anymore.

Could Lothian even take Midland Bluebird LTD? Would allow them to expand further west. Not sure how likely it is. What do you guys think?

My thoughts would be the Craig Group (WCM) for the Midland Bluebird depots and Lothian taking over the Scotland East depot but no buses, similar to what they did with East Lothian. Aberdeen & Glasgow, I would like to see Go Ahead expand to Scotland.

I agree that Craig Group seem possible for FSE. However with Glasgow and specifically Aberdeen i find National Express more likely than Go-Ahead. Aberdeen would be ideal for National Express as in many ways it's similar to Dundee and has potential for expansion/growth, it's not far from one of their existing divisions and they've shown signs of Expansion (Xplore More for example), it could also put them in a good position for ridiculous and unlikely the "Angus Bus War" which rumours seem to appear out of nowhere about every year. Although not entirely a reason not to i suspect Go-Ahead would be put off Aberdeen because it's quite a significant distance to any of their existing Opco.s

This point has gone under the radar, Bo'ness has also been taken out of Zone C and placed into Zone A. I still dont see the point of Avonbridge being in Zone C.
