I got my MMI results and I passed! I've been told I'll get an email from Freightliner asking me to interview in the next few weeks!

First post on here: was in Watford for stage 2 yesterday, found out today that I passed, very quick response, really thought I had fluffed the MMI, was even told my interview was going to be long as I was going to be asked extra questions! Just got to wait for DMI date now, anyone else here apply for the Wembley depot post/posts. Congrats to everyone who passed the second stage

Well done! I personally didn’t apply for Wembley but most of the others I was with for my MMI were for Tilbury. So far I am the only person I have seen on here or met that has applied for Eastleigh.

I applied for Wembley! :D:D I have no idea about the next stage, does anyone know how to prepare for a train driver interview? Like what sort of thing should I brush up on and the like?

Well done guys. Just a word of warning. I was told I’d passed on the 18th December and that FL would contact me within 10 days. I’ve still heard nothing

It seems to me, from reading this forum, that the railway moves incredibly slowly.
So don’t expect to hear much soon I would think!!

If nothing else you know you’ve got through the psycho’s and sit back and wait!
I’m sure it will be well worth it in the long run.

When I left my FOC for a TOC, and though I was asked if I would like to apply at my present TOC as a qualified driver, that still took nearly 6 months.

HR have always been the same, and I've been on the railways since BR days. You have all got to sit tight, and not hearing anything for months is a standard procedure.

I applied for Eastleigh as well, I live in Bournemouth at the moment.

Research the TOC, depots, routes, organisation etc. Think you get asked a few more of those MMI questions as well in the DMI, maybe someone who has successfully passed a DMI could offer more advice?

Congrats those have passed although you’ll all no doubt get jobs with other tocs / focs before you get anywhere with freightliner

Very true

How long have you guys been waiting? Are you in a pool or waiting for DMI?
I reckon 90% of us that passed everything with freighliner including the DMI went on to get jobs with other companies before hearing anything about a course with freightliner.

Hmmmm fair enough I have applied for another TOC but it is very limited in my area so Freightliner would have been my preference.

I thought Frieghtliner were desperate for drivers, especially Intermodel

Me too, but it does appear that they don't tend do anything very quickly. I am just hoping that this time might be different!

I hope so pickletree, from my experience and that of some others that I know they were abysmal, as you say hopefully it's different this time.......

Although I wasn’t successful at the DMI stage, I allowed Freightliner to give me a shove in the right direction by having a couple of assessments with the (MMI, DFFT and GB to enhanced standard). It at least meant I didn’t have to take anymore assessments for GWR so I’m happy. Was gutted at the time but it obviously wasn’t meant to be.
