Think 158907 is on it's way back from Bristol. It's had a full refurb. So looks like both Crewe and Bristol are doing 158s now. Should speed up the programme. There are two at Crewe currently, 790/906 with 848 at Barton Hill.

Interestingly 158 907 has been at Barton Hill since 8th Dec so just 8 weeks inc christmas hols for full monty.

Anyone have an update as to the 150s 156s. Cant be many left to PRM now.

According to Facebook 158907 was already PRMd and went for some other refurbishment.

When it went to Bristol it was not compliant. The whole lot has been done there. Toilet/PIS plus full refurb including new seats/carpet etc.

Barton Hill were just doing the PRM mods originally. Unit 907 is the first to have the complete refurb there. Number 848 is next in line. This already has the mods. So I expect it will be in for new seats/carpets/painting interior and exterior. This is one of the Heaton based units which was destined for the NE Connect services in the North East like 845/9 which have electronic seat reservations. As this service is now in doubt as to whether or not it will run. Be interesting to see if 848 gets the additional modification.

Indeed, 907 was turned around very quickly. Hope they at least receive WiFi and charging sockets to bring them in line with what the 150s are getting

I wonder if the interior refurbs will continue the same after the new operator takes over March.
Arriva will have had contracts with suppliers including there own Arriva traincare which will either complete or terminate.
I would guess a short pause while the new management gets upto speed.

The DOR website implies that they will, yes.

Not seen it mentioned on the refurb 156s ,156440 is now fitted with wifi, CCTV, the advertisement screens and USB sockets.15816745813281696602798692732374.jpg

Thanks. Lots of moves booked tomorrow although often not many are taken up.
Looks like the remaining handful of 156s will be Notherns last non PRM compliant dmus (Pacers not included).
Incidentally when all the PRM work is completed will all of Northerns fleet no longer discharge sewage onto the track.
