There is now a 5D33 VST running to Liverpool Street left 14.27 perhaps there trying to recover the service.

Maybe, but the 2:48 LST - Chingford has just been cancelled, then again it wouldn't have made it, just going through stoke Newington now

The automatic door platform detection opening system failed on the rear set of 4 carriages at Edmonton Green and then Southbury. Due to this, the service (the train did complete to Cheshunt but with only front set operating) was cancelled for the remainder of the day.

1640 Chingford to LST will be cancelled then?
I have no idea but I assume it will be either a 315 or 317 unless they managed to fix the door issue and want to risk running it again. I haven't tracked where the unit went after Cheshunt but it apparently is now at Chingford Sidings according to SeaKing earlier I think (unless I misunderstood).

Yep it's at Chingford sidings, rest of diagram will be a 315/317

They are back to the London Fields / Enfield Town shuttle testing, with testing going on throughout the night. Presumably night time testing so they can try out doors when platforms are empty?

Cannot account for the overnight stuff but the Enfield town to London fields train in the day is a training train has nothing to do with testing at all. All the doors are inhibited. The training train 117/120 remained in Chingford yesterday while they sent out 121/108. ROG were supposed to take it back to Willesden yesterday.

As far as I know they're withdrawn until the rear unit issues are resolved.

The issues are resolved. Im not at liberty to give too many details however the system performed as it should in that situation. Communication between units is fine. Software is fine. Just an unlucky oversight before it entered service.

Will be out very very soon in a much more permanent capacity, just not this week.

Will there be a full diagram from 2/3 still?

Not really. Much better they arrive when they’re ready, and they’ll work, rather than be rushed into service and fail left right and centre. Aside from the 317/7s, the current fleet isn’t entirely unsuited to the work, even in the peak.

Is 710256 now in passenger service or just 257-269 and 271?

Just 257 to 269 and 271 (plus 103 and 105 that have been working on the Barking line).
256 is still to be delivered to Willesden. As it was the first built it had test equipment etc in it.

Not necessarily from the 2nd. But there are still another six days of the week after that. According to the Met office we have some really good weather coming our way Tuesday.

The current plan shows:

Tues 3/3 - 710s start with the 11.22 from Enfield again (ROG bring the unit there) finishing at Chingford 19.14, then into the sidings.
The pair of 317s swapped out at Enfield run ECS to Ilford and are shown 'off lease' on arrival.

Wed 4/3 - starts with the 05.55 from Chingford until 00.44 finish at Chingford

Thurs 5/3 and Fri 6/3 - starts with the 05.55 from Chingford and finishes at 19.14

Training runs booked as normal
All subject to change, of course!

For some reason the passenger USB ports on these units seem to be delivering extremely low power. I plugged my iPhone into one the other day for around 20 minutes and it delivered about 2% charge, even without use.
