By contrast, I haven't seen any Class 321/322s in Doncaster since the Class 331s were rolled out!
321903 has been on a few donc -leeds services over the past few weeks and 322484 was out on sunday working the service :)

All electric services on the triangle are shown as pathed for class 333 regardless of the booked traction, whether it be 333, 32x or 331.
Yeah, but it seems like there is a plan of which services are assigned which type of train.

There are certain services which are a 32X every day, and others which are generally 333s. So it isn't just a case of everything is ‘supposed’ to be a 333 and they send a 32X if one isn't available: there are some services that are allocated to be 32Xs, regardless of how they show in the schedule.

Correct, every service has booked traction but if said traction is unavailable then a replacement is used.

However for timings everything is timed as per a type of traction rather than the booked traction such as 100mph class 333 EMU (as mentioned could be any electric type) or 75mph Pacer (could be a 158 booked for the service but the path is timed for a pacer).

There seem to be as many 322s as ever on the Wharfedale Line: of 8 journeys I took last week, 3 turned out to be 322s (one Ilkley–Bradford, one Bradford–Ilkley, and one Ilkley–Leeds), all of which were shown on Realtime Trains as “Pathed as Class 333 EMU” — and at least the Leeds journey being one that's usually a 333.

This morning there was a broken down 322 clogging up platform 2 at Ilkley, and the train I was on crossed with another 322 at Guiseley (I think the 09:02 from Leeds, which apparently spent 19 minutes on the platform at Guiseley).

I think I've only seen one 331 this year, and I haven't been on one for months.

There are definitely two regular diagrams the 331s appear on, I was on one yesterday for the 15:03 Leeds-Ilkley. And on changing at Guiseley the ex 15:16 Bradford FS-Ilkley was also a 331. Both these services have been regularly frequented by 331s in recent times so you could use RTT to follow the diagrams around to catch them.

I've tended to find the 321/322s frequenting a lot of morning peak services, I've yet to see a 331 on any of the early morning Aire & Wharfe services. But there are still plenty of 321/322s roaming around the triangle at the moment.

2H14 0656 Leeds to Skipton / 0744 Skipton to Leeds is still fairly solid 321/322 when I see it or catch it. But no guarantees.

I'll let someone else trace the rest of the diagram!

One works the 0618 Skipton - Leeds, 0711 Leeds - Bradford, 0746 Bradford - Ilkley etc. and the other drops on to the 0856 Leeds - Skipton after coming in from Doncaster

Fairly sure that's the one which sits in Leeds all day before working the 1736 to Bradford

As is the 06:02 Ilkley-Leeds (much to my disappointment as I use this quite often), which I believe then forms that 06:56 to Skipton.

Ah that one I would not normally connect with as I'd be on the 06:37 LNER service out of Shipley, and as there's an hour gap after the first service from Baildon to Shipley. But interesting to know.

Just saw an Instagram post of 901 and 902 being dragged by 37800 to Clacton - are they being temporarily used by GA until their new trains are in service?

Believe so
saw them passing witham at 1707 hours
It does make sense. It isn't really acceptable to have PRM compliant 321s in store when Greater Anglia have non-PRM compliant 321s in service.

Not to mention that the 90 loco-hauled sets are meant to be off lease from this point onwards, so makes up a lack of available units

With 10 745s accepted, and only half the Norwich-London service operating, they're not exactly short of trains.

Well there's a turn up for the books. Northern cast-offs being used down south.

Yes, but they are losing the 379 off lease and 360s to EMR later in the year with the 720s nowhere near ready to replace them

Is it correct that the 321s and 322s are in a common pool (at Northern)? So theoretically, the 322s could be used by GA straight away, or with just an a4 sheet of differences, for example?

Worth bearing in mind that Northern didn't run their Class 321/322s in multiple, not sure if they'll be compatible with GA's existing 321s.

They've run together following failures etc without any issue.

I wouldnt go that far they're notorious for transferring faults. Non more so than outside Doncaster when we only had the 321s and all 3 were couple together in the end and still couldn't move so had to dig out the emergency coupler for the Doncaster Thunderbird

Not surprised by this at all, my point was that the 321/9s hardly (if ever) run in multiple during regular service.

They could be used on the Harwich branch line or Colchester to Walton service as they only need 4 car units so freeing up other 321/360 for use else where

That is the thought I had, guess we'll just have to wait and see when the full timetable is (eventually) resumed.

I don't think London crew sign 745s yet, so half the Norwich services will have to be 321s, when the full service resumes.
