Reading a reply from "Third Rail" mad me think - what a good name for a regular TV rail show, like "Top Gear" if there was one.

Who can come up with the best...or better still...most cringeworthy title for a regular weekly TV show...and who would you like to host??

Tim Traveller (youtube travel blogger) would be my choice of presenter, but you can do so much better...and I can't come up with a funny name...

Also, any note-worthy titles from the past??

Platform One could work, but so could many other rail phrases.

If I wanted to be stereotypical, 'RailNerds' might be a contender. Or maybe... Virgin On Trains. <:D

Present the show from either the Rugeley or Lichfield stations on the ECML, and call it "TVTV"

I do think it’s a shame the ‘Carry on...’ team never did a railway-based film. (Cue lots of posts to say they did). Sid James would be the down-to-earth driver, training up a young Jim Dale. Of course, Kenneth Williams would be the pernickety supervisor, out to get Sid, and Hattie Jacques could run the buffet...

Script, they build a private steam train for a heritage line, somehow it ends up on the main line, and they try to get it back before the Flying Scotsman crashes into it!

Apparently their budget was so low, everything they could was filmed at Elstree. Exceptions were Snowdon standing in for the Khyber Pass and some dunes on the south coast for the Egyptian desert. So I wonder where the nearest preserved railway to Elstree is?

Unless I missed one a surprisingly long way, now probably Epping Onger, though that was not there at the time,Unless I suspect Nene valley or Bluebell.

I feel confident someone will prove me wrong.

The Buckinghamshire Railway centre at Quantain Road or the Chinnor & Princes Risborough Railway would also be good alternatives seeing that Elstree is in NW London
