What is the station that has most stations served nonstop to/from it? It includes any once a day or limited services, but does not include Tube / Metro / Tram services.

For example, London Euston:
  • South Hampstead
  • Wembley Central
  • Harrow & Wealdstone
  • Bushey (evening peak)
  • Watford Jct
  • Tring (evening peak)
  • Leighton Buzzard
  • Milton Keynes Central
  • Northampton (early Avanti)
  • Rugby
  • Coventry (morning peak)
  • Nuneaton (evening)
  • Tamworth (evening)
  • Stafford
  • Stoke on Trent
  • Crewe
  • Stockport (morning peak)
  • Runcorn (evening peak)
  • Warrington Bank Quay
So that's 19 places served nonstop. I may have missed a few, please tell me if I have!

RESULTS LIST:

Birmingham New Street - 30
Manchester Piccadilly - 30
Clapham Junction - 26
Leeds - 26
Glasgow Central - 25
Crewe - 23
Preston - 22
Doncaster - 21
London Bridge - 20
London Euston - 19
Nottingham - 19
Reading - 19
Stockport - 16
York - 16

I just thought of another, Birmingham New St:

  • Adderley Park
  • Stechford
  • Lea Hall
  • Marston Green
  • Birmingham International
  • London Euston
  • Leamington Spa
  • Five Ways
  • University
  • Bromsgrove
  • Ashchurch for Tewkesbury
  • Worcestershire Parkway (late evening)
  • Cheltenham Spa
  • Smethwick Rofle Street
  • Smethwick Galton Bridge
  • Sandwell & Dudley
  • Dudley Port
  • Coseley
  • Wolverhampton
  • Hamstead (early morning)
  • Tame Bridge Parkway
  • Duddeston
  • Aston
  • Sutton Coldfield
  • Wilnecote
  • Tamworth
  • Burton on Trent
  • Derby
  • Water Orton
  • Coleshill Parkway

Which comes to 30, must be close to the top

(Edited to add Euston and remove Solihull)
(Edited again to add Dudley Port, Cheltenham Spa and Wilnecote)
(Edited again to add Sutton Coldfield and Ashchurch for Tewkesbury)

Yes I think people will struggle to top New Street. I'll bolster it to 26 with one of my favourites, the 1737 Liverpool that is right away Dudley Port. I'm sure there are more.

Add London Euston, on the 0730 departure.

Though I'm not sure about Solihull? No direct services at all to the latter from New Street, are there?

Ah I forgot about that service!

There definitely used to be some XC services stopping at Solihull. Appears there arent anymore, my mistake.

Don't forget the northbound Highlander, first stop? I now see it seems to pick up at Preston, I'm sure it used to be first (public) stop Stirling or somewhere else in the far(!) north.

I think the OP just meant most different first stops on departures, with no need for any stops to be skipped... if so, you can add Cottingley, Bramley, Kirkstall Forge, Burley Park, Cross Gates, Woodlesford and Outwood giving a total of 26. IIRC at some point in the future the TPE Hull to Manchester Piccadilly service will be first call Batley after Leeds, giving 27.

The only one I can add to that is there are also a couple.of early Sunday tfw non-stop to Alderley Edge.
There was a LNR non stop to Rugeley TV until the last timetable but believe its now had a Stafford stop added

The Lowlander stops at Watford Junction but not Crewe, so that makes 24.

I didn't think any services ran non stop to Preston from London Euston anymore?
