I dont suppose there is likely to be any chance of Rail Travel Vouchers having their validity extended due to the amount of time we are to be advised not to travel?

When do your Rail Travel Vouchers Expire? If they expire soon, I'd recommend contacting the TOC who issued them and asking if they would exchange them for new ones.

I've got a couple which last until August and then a few for October or November. The August ones are LNER so they might be helpful.

That's one of the downside of vouchers - they expire.

Contact the train company who issued them I'd say at least month before they expire (or 2 to be on the safe side) and ask for them to reissue them if you send them back.

Irritatingly I found about £30 of vouchers last weekend that I had lost that expired about 6 months ago. They were issued by Arriva Trains Wales so I imagine any hope of being able to send them back and get them re-issued is long gone.

In reality there is nothing stopping booking offices accepting out of date RTVs; I've had out of date RTVs accepted before. I am sure most train companies will take a pragmatic approach.

I'm not sure there's really a need but it may depend on your location and how dependent you are on a particular company adopting a suitable policy. If anyone does wish to contact a TOC to ask them about RTVs you could try tweeting them in the first instance.

How out of date might they accept them? I found some Central Trains ones when having a clear out…
