I guess the only question based on the info that @PHILIPE linked to is how many they’ll normally use, but it’s clear that the legalities have been dealt with.
I know the driver....it's pathed as a sprinter, how do you know it'll be a pacer?

True. What it is pathed as is not what is allocated in a great many cases
Do you know whether it's a 144 or 142 then?I know the driver....
I would like to see them back on the Morecambe branch, we’ve not had a passenger service here for months!
No would have to be connected to another compliant unitThey could use just one 142 for that diagram ?
You've got that "Baby come back" song in my head, only I'm singing "Pacer come back!"
I believe that the Morecambe branch services, alongside the Cumbrian coast services are worked by Heaton based units, however, Heaton no longer has any Pacers and the returning Pacers will be based out of Newton Heath. They could use just one 142 for that diagram ?

That’ll explain why the shuttle was a 156/150 most of the time early this year.
But Wigan do sign 150s, so they can go on selected diagrams. Without wanting to stray off topic a 153 went to Blackpool South this morning even though Blackpool don't sign 153s (It was a Blackburn diagram)Never a 150. Barrow crew don't sign them.

So they’ve picked the worst type of the worst Pacer class. Good effort indeed.Looks like the Foxfield Railway have acquired 142055 for preservation! Second of the Merseyside sets to be preserved as well

Which pacer has been saved to go to butterleyLooks like there’s a combined Pacer preservation/scrap move from Gascoigne Wood tomorrow, firstly going from GW to Butterley MRC (presumably dropping off another 142 for preservation) then continuing from there to Sims Metals @ Newport Docks.
Here are the moves

I believe it's one of the units currently stored at the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway.Anyone know the whereabouts of 144 002? First one I ever rode in back in the day!! Also strangely, my Granddaughter's first ever train ride. How's that for fate!!
