It's the loco that has failed, not the 777The Mersey Railways page on Facebook is reporting that tomorrow's move is off.
The train has failed in France apparently.

MondayThat's what I meant sorry.
Wonder when it will be rescheduled?
Seems a bit unusual being hauled by 73's.777006 to arrive at Tonbridge West yard hauled by 73s

Onward move at a later date to Kirkdale, nice opportunity to get some shots of it at Tonbridge yard (assuming it's not sandwiched between Jnas on both sides)
Does anyone know what testing was taking place early hours Wednesday morning?
It appears they had a 777 (running as 5T01) and possibly a class 507/508 (running as 5X99) between Liverpool Central and Hunts Cross a few times.
The trains seemed to always meet on either platform at Liverpool South Parkway, waiting ~5 mins, before departing in opposite directions?
Has an 8 car formation of the 777s ran yet on Merseyrail network?
A similar situation the other week was explained as power supply load testing to ensure they can run around the network without causing any issues to the existing service. And to ensure the existing fleet don’t cause issues with the new units.
Nice shot, pole required or is that a footbridge?looks like it's double headed by 73128 and 73213.6X29 1030 Dollands Moor (Gbrf) to Tonbridge West Yard Gbrf
6X29 1030 Dollands Moor (Gbrf) to Tonbridge West Yard Gbrf. Just a record shot. Merseyrail unit 777006 between barrier wagon hauled by 73128 73213. Bit of a gamble. I've not been here before. Gamble that the sun would not shine as the train was back lit for its entire journey, a gamble if I...www.flickr.com
isn't my photo unfortunately.Nice shot, pole required or is that a footbridge?

Monday:can anyone confirm here when 777006 will move out of Tonbridge
When the graffiti's been removed, perhaps?
I would have thought it would have been spotted before now if it had. Wouldn't surprise me if it happened locally. Scruffs will travel from far and wide to graffiti in Liverpool in recent years, as apparently they don't get caught. Even when they're told to come down from roof tops ("base jumping" or whatever it is called), the "police" just send them away with advice, not even bothering to search their (aerosol laden) bags. Of course the graffiti that exists where they happened to be got there by magic...Dear god. Maybe done across Europe as the vandalism is rife there!
If it did happen in Liverpool, it's a pretty poor show on security. Merseyrail/travel know the score, and should have better security in place. How very depressing.
It can't possibly have happened in Liverpool as this unit, 777006, is yet to be delivered to Merseyside.
With the windows on the 777s being much larger it should be easier to remove graffiti off the 777s compared to the 507/508s since it is easier to remove graffiti off glass compared to the livery.Sadly this was bound to happen at some point, so I wonder if this will be a good exercise for Stadler at Kirkdale to see what effect the graffitti removal will have on the paintwork of the 777's........
Doubt they’d refuse over that, if it was damage like smashed windows or bodywork I’d understand. It’s an hours work for someone with chemical to remove, I’m sure they got someone aside at the receiving end with time to deal with it.With the windows on the 777s being much larger it should be easier to remove graffiti off the 777s compared to the 507/508s since it is easier to remove graffiti off glass compared to the livery.

Could Merseyrail/travel refuse to accept the unit at Kirkdale until this is removed since it has occurred before even reaching the delivery address?
Yes it's mainly PaintHaving seen one of these (007) when passing Kirkdale recently they do look to have a very high standard of finish. I assume this is an actual paint finish rather than a vinyl application as I have not been close enough to see.
I do hope this does not inspire the mindless idiots with spray cans to go on a wrecking spree.
