When they get purchased for routes that need heavy duty vehicles rather than lightweights, it's a big problem.

Possibly but then again, some enthusiasts have an almost pathological hatred of Streetlites. Mind you, that's almost a subject for the enthusiast etiquette thread.

The one thing that really bugs me is the emergency door handle that seemingly rattles incessantly when the vehicle is idling.

Is the Increase service 20 (Ratho to Hermiston Gail or Chesser ASDA) and service 63 (Queensferry to Riccarton)
apparently the 63 will get extended to Balerno from Riccarton and the 20 will serve Ingilstpn P&R

The increase is First winning the 20, 63 and 68. Not sure exactly but i think it's a PVR increase of 7. Unless things have changed the extension of the 63 shouldn't see any increase as the frequency is going to hourly rather than the confusing 40 minute frequency.

I have forgotten, what is the 68 route thanks.

The routes the 20, 63 and 68 take are controlled by the council. Lothian and (soon) First simply operate it on behalf of them.

What will the route be after Ratho? Is it still going to Slateford via the calders & Westside Plaza?

I imagine it will be, otherwise that will leave the Calders and Kingsknowe without a bus service, I’m curious about the ticketing prices

Maybe it will be £1.70 for an adult and 80p for a child.

Certainly would be encouraging, as First charge that much anyway to travel from Gogarburn to Ingliston/Newbridge over LCB

I’m just wondering what dayticket offers they will have for within the Edinburgh zone because with the 20/63/68 all under First and connecting with other first services like the X22/X23 in Sighthill area and the X24/X25/X38 in Corstorphine/Maybury area, I imagine they will want to have an option to encourage folk for cross connect with other services to travel within the city or even West Lothian

I think a day ticket would be the same price as a West Lothian Zone ticket £5.50

You’ll know this.... Are there age limits on these tenders so are the Eclipses to be used on these routes OR to release smaller Streetlites for use on them?

If there is an age limit they could use some of the smaller streetlites that they already have )the ones with fleeting 474xx (SK63 K--)) and use the longer ones for west lothian

Do you mean even shorter than the ones already here?

They've just gained some additional 631** StreetLite Max versions, along with the Volvos, joining the existing 63*** examples. They're all full length vehicles (41 seat StreetLite Max, 43 seat Volvo) so wondering if they will be allowing the shorter 47*** (37 seat) versions to work the tenders. That make sense?

Is there not an Edinburgh only day ticket that is less than that? It may be useable with that. I can’t remember for definite, however I want to say it’s between £2-4.

All I can remember is on the X22/X23 route they have a deal for a single between the city and hermiston is £1.20 and i think week travel is £7 if I’m correct

The only place that has the shorter ones is Falkirk for route 3/4

Livingston has short 63 plates.

From what i can gather there's no age limit requirements. I'm not sure if the 63xxx Streetlites can get over the canal bridge in Ratho with their longer wheelbase. I'd expect the 68 will be run by 47xxx Streetlites, unless other vehicles were to join the fleet.
