Just an idle posting due to ongoing lockdown (and one which will hopefully keep me out of trouble with the mods!). Two that immediately spring to mind are Metrocentre and Newark Castle, but there are probably more.

EDIT: Just as a point of order, when I say "building" I mean that in the conventional sense, i.e. a structure with walls and a roof, rather than any old man-made structure. This means no airports, seaports, bridges, amusement parks and the like. Sorry to rain on anybody's parade!

Kent House, Clock House, Mansion House and Custom House in London and Exhibition Centre in Glasgow all spring to mind!

Bat and Ball, too. Way more than I thought! I wonder if there are any that are named after buildings but you wouldn't know unless you know, if that makes sense... for example if St. Pancras was actually named after a church (which for all I know it might be).

There are many stations named after churches, cathedrals etc. Often, as I suspect with St Pancras, the link is indirect, the station taking the name of the parish.

Manchester United football ground
That's so often referred to as "MUFC Halt" that I had to check its official name before trying and failing to be a smart-Alec and saying it was named after the organisation rather than the building.

If we include closed (or unserved) stations there'll be even more, including several at football grounds such as Watford Stadium and Boothferry Park Halt (but not Ramsline Halt, as the ground was called The Baseball Ground). Neither IBM nor British Steel Redcar apply though, as they're named after organisations.

Technically most airports are made up of multiple buildings... which still counts maybe. ;)

Hmmmmm. The Heathrow Terminal ones then

The Hawthorns is another and that’s acceptable I think

Nelson was allegedly named after the Nelson Inn, Marsden, to differentiate it from Marsden, Yorkshire, and the name then stuck for the town.

Objection! Meadow Hall and Wincobank, and Wincobank and Meadow Hall, were previous stations named for their areas. So you could argue that both station and centre were named for the area they are in (unlike Metrocentre).

Ryde Pier Head and Lymington Pier, depending on your definition of a building (piers are built, right? )

Greenhithe for Bluewater?

Indirectly, Martin Mill station in Kent is named after the village of Martin Mill, which in turn is named after a windmill.

Meadowhall isn't named after a building as such, the station is named Meadowhall Interchange (so if it is named after a building it's named after itself in an amusing example of circular logic!). The area is known as Meadowhall, and includes the eponymous shopping centre but also retail parks and industrial units.

Edit: already addressed above, with better and more complete knowledge.

Strictly speaking, Ryde Pier Head is named after part of a building, which just might be unique.

Greenhithe is the location, Bluewater is the building. I'd say the "for" rules it out.
