Newcastle [upon Tyne]. As the ECML runs slap bang past the Castle Keep of the "New" Castle in the City name. Monument [T & W Metro] runs under/round the foundations of Greys Monument in Newcastle City Centre.

I'm guessing my submission of 'University' in Birmingham might not count, as technically the University of Birmingham is made up of more than one building?

The Tyne & Wear Metro has 'Stadium of Light'. Mainline trains run through, but don't stop there.

Cutty Sark DLR is uniquely named after another mode of transport? (I would have called it Greenwich Riverside but I guess it's a good landmark to use!)

Another planet...
Bolton Abbey (though that is now on a heritage railway), Bardon Mill & Meadowhall.
Meadowhall has already been ruled out, the shopping mall is named after the area.

Cutty Sark is probably unique in the world, as you say @telstarbox . Likewise Acton Main Line is uniquely named after the type of route it's on, something that doesn't usually happen in this country but is quite common in France: "Besançon Franche-Comté TGV" for example.

Deepdene was a country house that was used during WW2 as the HQ of the Southern Railway. After nationalisation, the house was used by British Rail until its demolition in 1967.

I think we could be getting a bit dodgy with one or two of these. If there is a building in Falmouth called The Dell, I bow to your superior knowledge. Surely Kempton Park and Port Sunlight are settlements after which the stations are named; possibly the same with Lympstone Commando, which is like a forces‘ settlement.

I know
The Dell
Is a play on words. Hence mentioning it.
Yes
The Dell Station is in Falmouth.
The Dell football stadium was in Southampton.

Kempton park
Another play on words as
A series of buildings are known as kempton park racecourse.

Again playing on words
The base/buildings are know as lympstone Commando (base)

I know ........

Its interpretation.

8-)

Again.

Indeed - St Pancras Church is on Euston Church, directly opposite Euston Station.

There are two St Pancras churches - the one on Euston Road near Euston station is the new one. St Pancras Old Church - much more ancient and attractive - is right alongside the St Pancras railway line just north of the end of the station. So the station name might relate specifically to the church, rather than the parish.

Has anyone mentioned the London Underground stations on the Circle Line - Temple, Mansion House, Monument? Also on LU: Swiss Cottage, White City (kind of), Manor House (presumably); and on the DLR - Bow Church, as well as the already-mentioned Custom House.

Kings Cross (the statue was certainly part of the built environment)
Carlisle Citadel
Strata Florida (named after the abbey)
Exeter St Davids (named after the St David's Church nearby?)

If Monument and Kings Cross are allowed so should Waltham Cross and Charing Cross. Although you could argue that Monument is a building as it has a staircase etc..

Maybe Bicester Village? Or is the shopping centre actually several buildings?
