Abellio North West

It would appear that Abellio, may be planning on starting operations, with-in the Manchester Area.

As they have recently registered a new company called Abellio North West Ltd with the Companies House.

The registered office, is in the office complex, situated above Wetherspoons in Piccadilly Gardens.

It is unclear, if this is will be a new operation or if they are about to take-over a current operation.

Could be a number of things.

Abello do rail replacement so maybe putting in a bid for Northern or merseyrail or Metrolink and they maybe planning for what going to happen with Northern. they also maybe just planning with franchising so will put some money in the company and have a few staff looking at areas to bid on. Or it could be they plan on taking over Arriva as it is on market.

They do handle rail replacement for merseyrail so maybe a block is coming soon so they may have a plan on doing inhouse as that has happened in past.
