Hi guys!
I have recently completed and passed the application and short SCAAT test for the position of conductor (Chester). I am in the process of waiting for the next stage (verification). Please can you give me any advice of what to expect? The company I have applied for is Transport for Wales.

I used the group bourdon on here which had so great practise materials. It was very similar to the online mini assessment

Had my medical today was alcohol and drugs test (urine) weight height eyesight hearing general questions about health and blood pressure took about 45 minutes

Medical for tomorrow has been cancelled... they said that the medical company have had scheduling issues!!
Oh no. Did they give you and indication when they will reorganise? Don’t suppose the recent covid announcement are helping either

What does everyone think about the government take over of tfw rail? Anyone concerned about the jobs we're applying for?
I am concerned what was already shaky with covid just seems more uncertain now :/

Apparently the trainee conductors have already started classroom based training and training on the trains. One of my friends is a conductor so is going to ask. It seems from the sound of things that it's all going ahead as planned. I'll keep this updated as and when I hear anything.

Good luck! After 37 years of working for a High Street bank, I’ll be starting with SouthEastern on 9 November as trainee conductor. It’s a big change for me too and I’m looking forward to this new challenge.

I'm still waiting for an original date for mine. TFW have created a new job page and apparently all existing profiles (before 28/10) have been deactivated..
I was told the same, at least you have had your medical! Hopefully once this lockdown is over I will hear about mine.
