I bow to your superior knowledge
My understanding from this forum was the decision was very sudden and I wrongly assumed failure.
Do come and say hello if ever you see us
I usually have the spaniel who enjoyed 007 a week ago today

That's more like it, presumably 484001 doing some testing too?

I think your quote is from journey check which I have to say is a bit confusing as seems to say that line is closed until 20/12 then later on says service will resume 19/12 but finish earlier.

Anyone know what's happening for sure?

SWR website says "Disruption is expected until the end of the day on 18/12/20"

The plan for Saturday is an hourly service with the early finish as detailed in Post 873.

It said 18/12/20 when I posted it, perhaps it said something different earlier?

Plan has always been, and still is, to have one unit made available today, with early finishes to accommodate more testing. This has so far not changed. By around 0500 it will become clear if one is available.

Watching the camera I saw people on the footbridge taking photos when the train arrived at 10:40 and departed for Shanklin at 10:52.

Love that view from the cam- 2 bizarre transport solutions in one photo! 1930s tubes and hovercraft. Amazing.

Was that you on the bridge for the 11.40 too?
You should have waved at the camera, a lot of people do!
Anyway, nice to see 6 out and about.
I've done the wave! Awaiting the return trip now. Guard said the behaviour of the unit today has been so-so.

Geoff Marshall has put a new video up and has done the wave!
There is also speculation about the planned upgrade and where some of the old stock might go.

I was under the impression that the post-SWR destinations for the threw surviving 483s had been firmed up?
