I've found myself playing Minecraft a lot more now during lockdown - I used to play it on the Xbox years ago but now prefer the PC Java edition. I've built quite a few railway things, but mostly minecart tracks to move people from one place to another, and not really models of trains, but having seen yours I might have a go. That train looks really good, as does the bus - I'd never have thought such normally smooth objects would lend themselves to blocks as well as they have!

I've been playing around with various mods for Minecraft recently and 'Immersive Railroading' is definitely one of my favourites. Here's a screenshot of 'Tornado' on a test train of six Mk1s, which I had to shorten to three to get it to move:

I do minecraft but i don't build things like the above.

I mine on an industrial scale with a shocking disregard for the environment, I farm intensively killing every animal I find not within one of my protected villages, i chop down any trees that displeases me, i farm lumber on an industrial scale without regard to the prevailing biome, I enslave villages, take the biggest building in their village for my own use, retrain villagers to suit my needs and make the villagers worship me as a god.

Well it’s probably good practice for when the revolution comes...

Oh and I build a number of Iron golems to "protect" my enslaved villagers and large watch towers from which I can project power ( when the cross bow men arrive) and keep an eye on my empire.

I used to play Minecraft constantly on Xbox 360, but quit after I spent months and months building an automatic railway system, where you wait and the station, and a cart just turns up like a real train. Sadly, I didn't take the viewing distance into account, sso I spent months doubling tracks, mining ore, widening bridges and putting in complex redstone systems (I even managed to make a redstone theatre route indicator) only to find the wretched thing wouldn't work. I tried to start a few other projects afterwards but just lost interest.

This, along with another train, are going to get a slight rework. I'll post pictures once both are done.

Yep. My mining practices would shame rio tinto! My carbon footprint from my smelting walls must be hideous

I found "protecting" villagers useful also. It is for thier own safety of course. I even found ways to make them reproduce so i could trade more often

Myself and a friend once dug out an entire cave system into one huge strip mined cavern.

I stopped playing around when villagers got introduced so didn't exploit them too much.

They are a resourse to be exploited. Useful trading items. I build a wall around a village and light the village with torches. I then let the villagers breed and only offer them the job blocks i want them to have.

I might also have herded the village idiots and those with skills i dont want out of the protected area so they are killed.
