Hello everyone! I was wondering if anyone here knew of anywhere that is north, north west or west of London, about 50 miles max out where i would be able to pay for storage for a dennis dart? I am aware of the Bromley Bus Preservation Group but just getting from my area to there is a near 90 mile single trip (their storage site is much further than Bromley I've been told) which is quite long and not something i could really do on a regular basis. I am trying the small operators to see, so far i have heard back from Uno who cant due to space, and I suspect its likely all of them will be like that. Any help will be much appreciated!

What sort of storage are you looking for? Open, undercover etc? How often would you want or need access? Just a few things to maybe think about.

This is my first time so im not too fussed about those things and can adjust depending on what people might be able to offer. Storage wise, it would ideally be in a secure area, I dont mind either open or closed. In terms of access, as i am a full time bus driver, i dont have alot of time so its unlikely to me any more than 2-3 times a month.

In that case it might also be worth contacting local HGV operators as well. They might be more likely to have a yard corner you could use.

I did have that in mind, though i wasnt too sure if it was something that is done really, i was hoping to see if anyone knew any specific pcv places before i did that. my next step is to talk to my employer and see if i could use my garage as storage though i already know what the space is like thats very unlikely but its worth a try i suppose.

I'd place a small ad in the monthly 'Preserved Bus' magazine - word would get around from people who read the mag to others too.
