Somebody showed me a picture today of the area that used to be Bath coach park. Wheres the last time I saw it there was a building with toilet (closed a while ago as people don't need toilets in this digital age), a cafe and an undercover area to wait for the numerous coaches that Bath usually attracts it now consists of a leveled gravel area, all fenced off with a new pavement alongside it. This appears to be the local authorities latest ploy to try to discourage coaches from visiting bath as it's only a few years ago it was reduced in size and repurposed as a pickup/drop off point. Plus any visiting coaches now have to be Euro 6 or pay a fine.
If it was poorly used this would be understandable however (in normal years) the facilities are often overrun with visiting tours.
In better news these visitors will be able to drive to Bath using vehicles of any age as cars don't cause pollution, and if they cant afford cars then the local authority would prefer they went somewhere else.
Of course it might be that the local authority have been tipped off by central government that there isn't going to be a resumption of the tourist industry, so no need to visit Bath every again!
