Meadowhall and Metro Centre?

I can't speak for Metro Centre as I have never been there but I'm not sure Meadowhell would meet the criteria for being within a shopping centre as you enter the shopping centre from the train station via a walkway which takes you over the bus station, Meadowhall Rd and River Don.

It is the same sort of set up for the Metro Centre. I thought i was stretching it a bit.

There's an entrance to Monument Metro station in Newcastle just inside the Blackett Street entrance to Eldon Square shopping centre, and another from the basement floor of Fenwick's department store.

Clarkston in Glasgow is at the end of a row of shops.
Although totally independent of them. They were built on the site of some old sidings and were demolished by a huge gas explosion with significant loss of life. They have since been rebuilt and, in common with many high streets, house a large number of charity shops.

Argyle Street in Glasgow is pretty low key for a city centre station.
Excluding Argyle Street and Glasgow Central's Argyle St entrances underneath the Heileman's Umbrella, the only other rail stations within Glasgow's city limits that really fit the OP's criteria in any way shape or form are Kelvinhall & Hillhead, both on the Subway. The rest of the system's station entrances/exits are either part of a completely seperate structure or part of a heavy rail station (Partick).

Southport and James Street, Liverpool is just an entrance on the side street not in shops although when I used it, it was stonking down with rain and wasn't looking at much around me

The entrance to (Liverpool) Moorfields looks more like the entrance to a shopping centre than a station... Liverpool Central has a small mall inside the building too, which you have to pass through to access the platforms.
There is a small side entrance/exit to Central which avoids the shops!

The main entrance to Southport is definitely through a shopping centre. There is a secondary entrance (on the Northern side), which avoids them.

James Street is on a street with shops (well mainly hotels and bars these days) on each side but not in a shopping centre.

There have been two mentions of Birmingham New Street but I don't think that still applies since the latest rebuild. I think it is more a case of a shopping centre that is entered from the station concourse. Yes the ramp to the shopping centre still exists as in the old days but most people coming from that direction I think are more like to head for the Stephenson Street entrance to the station.

If I recall before it closed you could access Liverpool Central direct from the basement of Lewis's and it was very much pre link line in its design.

Walsall?? Been once and recall a lot of shop's

Edinburgh Waverley - both the concourse layout being wrapped around shops (with a very unusual platform numbering system!) and the fact that one entrance is through the Princes Mall

The other UK ones I know have been mentioned

But looking overseas, a striking example is Melbourne Central

at the end of the high and low roads
Aberdeen these days would qualify since the Union Square shopping centre was stuck on the front.

and the fact that one entrance is through the Princes Mall
The entrance from Princes Mall (now rebranded Waverley Mall) was temporary while Waverley steps were being upgraded and has been closed for many years. Waverley Steps predates the shopping centre. The lift access on the North side of the station is from the roof of Waverley Mall but does not require entering the mall.

As for Aberdeen, one entrance is through Union Square shopping centre and the one direct in from a pedestrian plaza. So, I think this would count. It is possible to go from the bus station to the railway station without going outside, which is useful if the weather turns nasty. What I find disingenuous is that National Rail enquiries website only mentions some of the toilet locations (and fails to say there is a charge), while the easiest (and free) thing to do (all in the same building) if arriving for a train and need the toilet is to enter via the bus station side, use Union Square toilets and then walk through to the rail station. It's only a couple of minutes out of the way - pretty naughty to still have those chargeable ones in the rail station part of the building

Not so sure about that one. Yes, you can reach the station through the shopping centre on the old station site but you have to leave the centre to access the ticket office and platform which are also accesible by road.
