I've recently been given my course dates for WMT Snow Hill. I know it's a while away but I was hoping someone might know what their shift patterns are like?

I know it's 35 hours a week across 4 days.

Thanks in advance for any info!

Hi - I've just been given my start date too at Snow Hill, subject to medical, on 9th August. I assume you could be on same course. If so, congrats to you on getting this far!!

I've read a bit about shift patterns on various threads. I know it's a basic Mon-Fri to start with on the initial training, but once we get buddied up for operational work there's an average 35 hours but the shift patterns seem to be quite complex and I think are rostered quite a way in advance to include some Sundays (which will fall outside of the 35 hours). I know this is fairly non-specific but I'm in the same boat, and am just really thrilled at the prospect of getting into this new career, as I'm sure you are.

Good luck with everything :)

Week 1 - Off mon, tues. On wed, thurs, fri, sat. Off sun
Week 2 - On mon, tues, Off wed, thurs. On fri, sat. Off sun.
Week 3 - On mon, tues, wed, thurs. Off fri, sat, sun.
It then repeats so you get a 5 day weekend every 3 weeks.
Will be booked in for a Sunday roughly once every 4-5 week but you can decline it if you don’t want to work it.

Happy days! Have you had any word on your medical yet? I suppose there isn't any major rush as it's a few months away.

Nothing as of yet, like you say it’s a few months yet so don’t expect to here anything for the next few weeks.

Just wondering if you heard anything regarding medical for the August course yet? Had an email today inviting me in for next week, so hopefully the ball is rolling once again for us.

Good news. I know from this forum we have at least three lined up for our course. I wonder if there are any more?

Best of luck for your medical! Well done.
