Hi, Could anyone confirm what service is operating on the above date. Sunday Service, Monday (to Friday) service or something else? Many Thanks for any replies. Regards Mike

Are you looking for a particular route or area of the country? You're likely to find some variations. In England, it was traditional to find a Saturday service in former 'Network South East' service groups and a weekday service elsewhere, subject to amendments for engineering work (which could be very significant).

That's helpful, thank you, I was leaving from Hinckley, on Sundays first train with XC to Birmingham is 10:38. Real times trains is showing the 06:38 on Bank Holiday Monday 31st
as the first service, with subsequent services showing as well.

BH Mondays non COVID tend to be a Monday to Friday timetable omitting some peak extras especially in the South East but also around the other larger cities.

It varies, but it is all published on the usual websites.

There is a fair amount of engineering work on that weekend too.

Further thanks, yes I noticed for example a bus service from East Croydon to Clapham Junction, South Coast services diverted to London Bridge and no EMR out of London St Pancras on the Bank Holiday Monday to mention two sets of engineering works.

Also the WCML is closed Euston - Watford and the GEML closed London - Shenfield and Southend. That plus what you have highlighted are the big works on the busiest routes covered.

Ignore! I looked at the wrong week. The late May BH is relatively clear - some work around Norwich, Ramsgate, Warrington - Crewe and Evesham - Worcester. Everything else relatively minor in terms of disruption, or not on main routes.

WCML is 2 track with a high side Euston block late May, this weekend is where its job stopped to MK.

Some Northern services seem to be missing from RTT for next Monday, despite there being no BHX codes on the COVID timetables e.g. 08:04 Stockport to Chester and 10:00 Chester to Manchester Oxford Road.

They are running as STP for the remainder of the week so as they are not running on Monday they just haven't been loaded

Northern did drop them for the school Easter holidays, even though their timetable only indicated they wouldn't run on Good Friday and then when people questionned it Northern changed the start date on the current timetable.

Northern got quite a lot of passengers on the August Bank Holiday last year when we weren't in lockdown but services were running to a reduced frequency with 4 carriages on each service. There were actually people standing with them not wanting to take seats right next to a stranger. While I don't think many people would use an 08:04 Stockport to Chester on Monday I think the 10:00 Chester to Manchester Oxford Road could be quite useful. Although, the bad weather might work in Northern's favour for preventing passenger numbers get too high.
