I don't know if it's OK to ask about other forums, but does anyone know what happened to the District Dave forum? I last visited it about a month ago, but now MalwareBytes Browser Guard blocks it, saying it has 'trojans', and if I try on a Linux machine it says the site refused to connect. The Google search cached page is about 4 days old.

Trying that link, Google Chrome gives a black screen and says

This site can’t provide a secure connection

districtdavesforum.co.uk sent an invalid response.
ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR

and at the same time MalwareBytes pops up and says "Website blocked due to malware". Firefox just shows the Malwarebytes warning page saying the same thing. Waterfox, which is using a Tor Socks5 proxy hosted on my Raspberry Pi, says

Unable to connect

can’t establish a connection to the server at districtdavesforum.co.uk
.

This last makes me think it isn't my ISP blocking, because the Tor exit node is in Hamburg (Germany).

The site is working fine for me too. Looks like an issue with your setup.

Also, 10 years since Dave passed away, hard to believe it is that long. It's fantastic the forum and site are still around and thriving as a tribute to the man himself and an archive of a time when such an insightful and humorous window into someone's current career was a very unusual thing.

Works fine in Chrome on my brand new Android 10 phone via wi-fi, so it must be my PC setup. Also fine in Firefox via my own UK ISP (Virginmedia) on my Raspberry Pi 4, which I can remote into so all is good I suppose. Thanks for the replies, folks!

This comes up every now and then - it’s out of the hands of the DD forum staff and is a known issue with our (free) forum host.

It’s triggered every now and then by some of the adverts served on the ProBoards platform, and would affect any site with that same host.

There are no (known) issues with anything within the DD Staff’s control.
