I'm planning to take a trip to the west country to track down Exeter's 158s. I saw them all in as-new formation, and as reformed into 3-cars, but there's a few I've not yet seen back in 2-car formation..

Is anyone able to post the diagrams for Exeter's 158s, please?

Many thanks

You will rarely see full sets of diagrams posted on the Forums because insiders can be reluctant to post in the public domain as they are for internal use. What I can tell you is that all GWR 158s work as a common fleet and as well bring seen at Exeter, they can be seen at Portsmouth Hbr, Brighton, Great Malvern, Weymouth and all points between Cardiff and Penzance. There should 3 x 3 Cars working on the Barnstaple Branch and about 3/4 2 Car on the Cardiff to Penzance axis. The others should be scattered across the Network.

Many thanks Philipe. So I need to look out for services 'Pathed as Class 158/168/170/175 DMU' on RTT - is that the best way to do it?

Not necessarily always correct but is a good guide. The Turbos use the same Timings and they include 2 Exmouth Paignton jobs.

Useful information - thanks again Philipe. I see a few PNX - CDFs are pathed as 'Castle Class HST' with 110 mph max. Presumably with these timings, 158s are very rarely ( if ever) on these turns.

The 110 mph are Castle Sets so they are easy to pick out. Turbos don't work west of Newton Abbot in the Penzance direction..

Many thanks Phillipe. Got it. I've had a look in RTT - there appears to be just 4 158 turns to/from PNZ Monday - Friday. I'll check out other locations. Cheers

You do see 158s at Paignton occasionally. This was 20 December 2020 working 2F24. I have seen them this year as well.
I have also seen a 2 car 158 working with a 150 recently.
