what happened to the old parcel van/bike hire place at brockenhurst station

went to see a train passing through and was surprised to see the old parcels van/bike hire place had gone, was still there not too long ago i seem to remember, or mabey it went ages ago and i hadnt noticed :lol: any idea what has happened to it?

i assumed it was another company as had a different name, but yes it could have moved and is still there up the end of the car park

The van is supposed to have been bought for the North Dorset Railway at Shillingstone Station in the last two years. It has probably been moved there.

Fairly sure it's the same company (though I suppose it could have been taken over) and it moved ages ago though I believe the actual van (no longer used) only got removed recently.

nice one, good to see it hadnt been scrapped or anything

would have been ice to photograph it when it was moved but one day it was there, the next it wasnt :lol:

just seen a few photos of it on their facebook page 8-)

OT, but in that second photo with the 73s, are those sparks coming from the third rail or is it dust/something else?

I was thinking the GUV as a bike shed was positioned more as an advert, the main business always seemed to be going on down in the car park, where the vast majority of the people always were. Two different names though, Country Lanes on the GUV and CycleExperience in the main carpark. Not sure how/why they used two business names, I think it was all the same company…

yes was a bit confusing, i remember it being open as a bike hire place but did close around the time of the other place opening up so they could just have re branded and moved ect
