Anyone know what’s going on in the Leeds area Sunday 30th May, specifically the Airedale route? Some odd diagramming going on. The Leeds to Skipton trains are running but with long stops at Shipley showing on RTT however not advertised on the journey planner and Northern website says that these services don’t stop at Shipley.

There are bus replacements for other services between Leeds and Kirkstall Forge except for the Leeds to Skipton.

Platforms 0-6 are closed this weekend meaning platform space is tight at Leeds. The long wait is probably down to pathing- Ilkley and Bradford services are terminating at Kirkstall F

Platforms 0-6/8-11 closed, major OLE (Overhead Line Equipment) and piling at the West end

Having just been on the 1105 SKI-LDS: the Shipley stop has been pulled to manage the loadings (mine was well loaded - 70% - the conductor made an announcement re trains back in the evening likely to be full). The NA stop at SHY was omitted (aka moved to Whitehall Jn!).

Platforms at Leeds are tight so the sets turn round promptly. I presume they sit at SHY to keep a half-hourly service through Airedale - but I agree it seems odd.

Using KLF for the RRBs is a new one on me - is it a first?

I think it is the first time the Forge has been used for the RRB’s. Usually buses run to Shipley/ Guiseley

Affecting all trains via Leeds Whitehall Junction. A/B lines closed.

Think there's only platform 13 available, meaning a limited service and trains have to go straight back out.

The Blackpool–York is running non-stop Halifax–Leeds, presumably capacity issues, as it's running normal route rather than via Mirfield.

Limited service on other lines, Knaresborough trains are a bus from Horsforth, most locals via Wakefield Westgate are RRB from Leeds–WKK or Leeds–Wakefield Westgate.

RTT says the Blackpools are running non stop Leeds- Halifax but with unadvertised stops at New Pudsey and Bradford Int. What's that all about then ?

Don't remember Kirkstall Forge being used as a terminus, but I think that on previous occasions there's been other work on the line taking place, not just at Leeds itself.

Capacity issues. I thought it was so that they could run them via Mirfield route without changing the stops but it appears that there's not enough room for local passengers on the 3-car trains.

They won't stop at New Pudsey. The Bradford stop is simply to change ends - doors will not be released and passengers will not be allowed to leave or board. It's to manage loadings to allow long-distance passengers space to travel as with the reduced services the trains would be full with local passengers.

Is this post in some kind of code? Have you just told an agent to begin their operation?

From the letter to residents (and over on the Leeds Station thread): installation of four pile foundations to support additional overhead line equipment between platforms 4 and 6. Works started at midnight, will go on until 4am tomorrow, with the noisy work between 8am and 8pm.

One of the more informative letters they've sent us residents, and way better than what happened around the P0 work.

What is a Bradford to Blackpool passenger expected to do in these circumstances?

I was on Leeds station yesterday and noted that at the West end of the platforms there are West facing yellow marker boards with a cross on. Please can some one let me know what these mean? I know that usually if you are coming to the end of a TSR there is usually a board with a ‘T’ on it. Thanks in advance.

Seems a bit harsh on Bradford’s to Blackburn, Preston and Blackpool passengers !

It's an AWS Cancelling Indicator for the TSR.
