My initial assessments were back on the 8th June, but the DFFT I did just this Tuesday past (29th), the afternoon session.

How have you got on? Have you heard anything?

Sorry yes, I meant the 29th. Ok so I was the guy at the back behind the other two (we searched for the loo together before the test) - sadly didn't make the cut for the enhanced but passed the national standard. I'm pretty sure I know what the issue was, as I answered up to Q 11 but skipped one near the beginning so I'm assuming that counts as a wrong answer. Going to try and get some feedback from OPC with a view to taking it again in 6 months if the chance arises. Is there any way to private message on this chat forum as I'd really appreciate discussing the test with you...

Just an update from me: I got a very happy, human phone call yesterday afternoon from MTR confirming that I have definitely passed and I will be getting an offer at some point :) no dates or rough estimates, but just the actual confirmation from MTR is enough for me!

Congratulations! You must be so elated! There were no more steps after your DFFT?

Hiya! Thank you all so much for the congratulations, I'm SO chuffed!

Just to clarify what I went through:

  • Initial application

  • VSE/M7SJT (online)

  • During this time I sat the OPC assessments for another company, both Stage 1 and 2: Stage 1 included Group Bourdon, TEA-Occ, TRP, and a wee form to fill out for Situational Judgement. Stage 2 , which was in the afternoon and required passing the morning, included Vigilance Test (Grey Squares), AVAVT, and Dual Hand test. After I'd passed these tests, I sat the MMI later that afternoon.

  • DMI - Pre-recorded questions (about MTR, ETCS, etc.)

  • DFFT - the other company did not require this as MTR did, so I had to come and sit this on Tuesday 29th June, while some of you were sitting your Stage 1 tests.

The next day or the one after, I received an email from OPC confirming I had passed all the tests and everything to MTR's required standard, and that they had passed my details on to MTR and left it with them.

Then I received a phone call on Thursday afternoon (8th July) from MTR confirming with me, by a lovely sounding human, that it was all true, and that I'm now just waiting on offers and contracts to come through, and I assume the Medical too.

So for those of you worried that they may spring a face to face, second DMI, or any other tests or obstacles, then you can rest a bit easier knowing that I have not had to, so most likely the Stage 2 assessments that you're due to sit next week is the actual end for you all.

Hope this helps!

Oh and also, good luck to all next week! Please keep us all updated on your progress!

Thanks for posting! Congratulations once again, shame they don't have an estimate of when a course might run for successful people - another round of the anticipation game for those that make it that far :D

Good luck to everyone who is in tomorrow for stage 2 8-) saw a post somewhere on here about the OPC building being easy to miss, might be worth locating the front door as soon as you get to Watford if you're going up early and plan to wait around in the area before the day starts!

I think I messed up my MMI, so not feeling positive about it at all. I hope you all did well in yours. Good luck with your outcomes!

Fingers crossed it isn't too long before we find out the MMI outcomes. For people worried about their performance in MMI, keep the positivity, you may have done far better than you think! They mentioned 7-10 days, really hoping it's sooner than that!
