I'm going to be making a journey tonight that will involve getting the 02.12 Rail Replacement Bus to Brighton. I'm worried about getting the Rail Replacement Bus and missing it at Three Bridges. Does anyone know where the bus will leave from?

My overall journey is from Reading to Brighton via Gatwick Airport tonight.

Replacement buses at Three Bridges depart from the front of the station. There is a dedicated bay for them immediately to the front of the station. You'd be very unlikely to miss it - the relevant service is frequently replaced by a bus.

(If there is substantial bus replacement then they will be set up in the car park but this isn't such an occasion.)

Usually when I drive rail replacement out of there the pickup point is in the car park. There should be staff at the station and signage up directing you to the buses - no doubt they will be visible if a lot of people are making that transfer.

When I last got a rail replacement bus from Three Bridges, I had to get it from the Car Park (that was on a service from Three Bridges to Horsham).

Yes, if the whole days service is replaced then they use the car park. If it's just the odd late night train then it's outside the station entrance.

Thanks so much guys. I found the bus no problem in light of the above. I'm on it now.

Was tonight's rail replacement planned well in advance? I'm wondering if it was last minute and thus delay repay.
