Hi all,

Just received an invitation for an assessment day for Greater Anglia in Stratford on Monday. Was wondering if anyone else has had an assessment recently and able to advise on the structure of the day? I've the practice test material and understand it will be a day of tests, however not clear if there will be an interview on the day or does this come on another day?

TIA

Hi

Just a quick question, when did you apply for the role and for what depot? I am asking, because I haven't seen any roles advertised on the website for a long time.

Hey, I applied back in 2019 for Bishops Stortford, had to retake the SJT late Oct 2020 as my previous one had expired and have just been informed of the assessment day.

as long as you have practiced the training material you will be fine , get a good nights sleep as you will need to be up early for the train, i found it quite draining doing the tests . Dress smart and it’s only a 10 minute walk from Stratford station . Take food and drink with you .

Hey Jonty,
Got through Stage 1, so pleased with that, it's a bit nerve wracking when you are waiting for them to mark the papers!
Just waiting on the Stage 2 dates now.

I applied for them, must be nearly 3 years ago now and they haven't contacted me however i've been "assured" that the application is still in the system....!

It was for colchester, clacton or ipswich

Thanks, yeah all nice people and always helped and gave people time if any questions were asked.
Only 3 out of 6 of us got through the day.

I applied in 2019 as did all the others at the assessment day, as Jonty has said it all moves quickly once you get contacted as I got an email asking if still interested & a few weeks later to come for an assessment. I'd given up on it as been so long!

I am in a near identical position to you, and I also know of one other person on this forum who was in the same position. However they eventually gave up and secured a different job.

I first applied back in mid 2018 and passed phase 1 of the assessment in November 2018. I send an email a couple of times each year to GA and in fairness the team do always respond and inform me that my application is still active.

So here I am eagerly waiting for stage 2 dates approximately 1,000 days after passing stage 1. It will be any day now I can just feel it.
