Those dates are correct, it's not showing on the public RMT site yet however emails & text messages have been received by those of us employed by Avanti who are RMT members.....

That's going to hurt the salaries. Is this in addition to an overtime ban, or has the union opted to let people recover their losses?

Strike action on SWR on the same day too.

An extract of the letter:

In my previous correspondence I outlined that I would be raising the issue at an industrywide level. I have since been in discussions with the Rail Industry Recovery Group with the aim of creating a framework and structure for negotiations and discussions on all the issues at the heart of this dispute.

However, during these discussions no firm commitments have been obtained from Network Rail or any Train Operating Company on Job Security, nor has any pay proposal been put forward by any company. During discussions on this issue all the companies have indicated that they wish to pursue their full agenda of “workforce reform” and cuts through a transition process.

Considering the lack of tangible progress through these discussions the Union’s National Executive Committee has considered this matter further. The NEC believe that South Western Railway are not taking the situation seriously and that we must now take industrial action. The NEC has decided to instruct all members of all grades, in all locations, to take 3 periods of 24-hour strike action.

Therefore, ALL South Western Railway members are instructed to not to book on for any shifts that commence between:

0001 Hours and 2359 Hours on Tuesday 21st June 2022
0001 Hours and 2359 Hours on Thursday 23rd June 2022
0001 Hours and 2359 Hours on Saturday 25th June 2022

I urge you all to stand shoulder to shoulder during the days of industrial action. All members, branches, regions, representatives, and officers are instructed to continue to make active preparations for the industrial action set out and to prepare for effective picketing regimes during this phase of action. Further information will be distributed to members on picketing locations and members should speak with their local representatives or branches.

Am I right in thinking (from what was previously said on various threads) that TfW aren't included in any of these?
Unless it's been announced and I've missed it, RMT haven't got a dispute with Transport for Wales, ScotRail, Hull Trains, Grand Central, Lumo, TfL Rail or London Overground.

I think that although there's a dispute with Merseyrail it's about something unrelated and in any case they may not currently be taking Industrial action at Merseyrail.

Network Rail RMT members in Wales and Scotland are likely to be taking action.

No although a lack of signallers will mean that a normal service is unlikely on those TOCs.

Whilst there is a dispute on Merseyrail, there is no current mandate for industrial action.

I am amazed that RMT didn't call strike action on Network Rail for the Monday, Wednesday and Friday instead for maximum impact.

Expect food shortages when freights can't run! Going to be carnage! Initial plan is to have freights run as priority traffic on them dates.

Well that's ridiculous for a bl**dy start! Surely the most basic level of common sense would suggest TOCs and NR out on different days...

Let's not go over the whole union arguments again here which have been done to death please - please keep this thread for informational/logistical information related to the strike dates.

Surprised they haven't gone for 1200-1159 strikes to cause more disruption for less loss of pay.
