Well, they'd need to Jig up in Derby etc. Proberbly a year or so, and it wouldn't affect Cummins UK in any way that I can think of, they will continue to use QSK19F units in the 180, 185, and 22x units. And no more of these units would likely be ordered. As all additional coaches would be transformer / pantograph coaches.

Their are only two technicians in Scotland who maintain the QSK19. Any risk to the set through failed engines could possably see sets being routed to Central Rivers for repair under electric power. Just wondering if their jobs would be at risk?
Electric power cannot be good for an engine manufacturer long term.
Yeah, but cummins has been seeing a drop in intrest in Rail products recently anyway...
After the QSK19F I don't think anyone has picked their products for rail use, and the're loosing out in most of the other parts of the UK Market too, to the likes of MAN, Cat and MTU.
Most marine engines I see rolling out nowerdays are cats, and a lot of wagons are using MAN, Volvo or their own kit.
