Well this is what i do in my free time and it is getting computer drawn images which are made by Unisouth on Wikimedia and all i do is to recolour the train draawings he does.

Heres A link to his page: (Sadly He Stopped making these types of drawings in early 2009 but i have sent him a message asking him to make them again but i don't think he has been on his account for a while)
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Unisouth

So This Class 158 was done in 2 mins as i left the old livery on and changed the logo so its a Ex EMT Northern Rail Class 158.
northern1.png

and this is what i think a Northern Rail HST Would look like.
Northern2.png

Please Note i have only changed the colours of the train and that i do not own any of the copyrights for the original drawing and that they belong to Unisouth.

They look awesome mate!

Could you possibly make a Class 59 with a slightly custom livery please?
PM me if so.

Northern Rail HST looks awesome! Top job! :)

I've never done such creations on MS Paint, but I do use Google Sketchup to create 3D models of trains and rolling stock. I've done a 313, a 317 and half of a 365, and I have the body done for a HST but it's quite tricky.

Do you start from nothing or do you use the basic train diagrams you can find on Internet ?

If you can do that on MS Paint, imagine what your work would look like if you did reskins for Railworks and Trainz! JustTrains and Oovee would be queuing up to employ you! :)

These are awesome. The East Coast 158 was especially good.

Here's a request if you're happy to take them: a Silverlink 350?

Would you provide a link to some Wikipedia train drawings for me? I wouldn't post anything I do in this thread (as it is yours of course) but I'd be curious to have a go at this myself.

Thanks for the Silverlink 350, that came out even nicer than I expected. I'm almost tempted to wonder what it would look like in NSE!! :p

Anyone wondered what a HST would look like in NSE livery? for the note I didnt add the lettering on it, because I found it too fiddly but you get the idea.

Actually this livery has a bit of a back story which is true, at the time NSE was considering replacing its loco hauled on the Waterloo to Salisbury route and one of the options was the cascade some HSTs. It never actually happened because the engines wouldnt cope with the stop start nature of the route.
