Sorry if this has been covered, a suicide or trespass today caused my Northern train to be late into Doncaster, but less than an hour, I still missed a connection with an East Coast service.

I got the next available train ok, but missed my next Northern train. This meant a wait in Newcastle of well over an hour and no quicker way. Will Northern still be responsible for a part refund as I will reach my destination an hour and half late.

It appears so from this page of the Northern Rail Passengers Charter, but without more information I can't be sure.

Could I ask you please to tell us the origin and destination printed on your ticket, and the ticket type? Scheduled times of the trains you took is also helpful in some circumstances.

Hull to seaham leaving hull at 1627, 1st class advance
Yes, I have seen the delay to the Northern train from Hull yesterday described variously as delayed by a trespass incident or delayed by a train fault .

It doesn't matter. Unlike, for example Merseyrail, Northern's Passenger Charter makes no exclusion for incidents not the fault of the railway industry.

Take and keep a copy of your tickets. Send the original together with a claim stating the total amount of delay in your arrival at Seaham - that's the only relevant figure. Send to:

Quite surprised the booking engine sent you via Newcastle - normally sends it via Thornaby.
